"The Blue Heron was absolutely lovely. Christine is a wonderful host and went out of her way to ensure her guests were comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. The house is clean and beautifully decorated…and not in a cheesy or old creepy kinda way. It’s tastefully antique and chic. The parking is a tight, but once you’re there, you don’t need your car again until you leave. It’s in walking distance to great restaurants and downtown. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait until our next visit."

"The room was fine, standard hotel room. The location is fantastic and why I will continue to stay here, but on the Springhill Suites side. Breakfast was not included for Courtyard and parking was $15, which in the past staying with Springhill, I believe was included."

"I loved the history of this property. It dates back to before the Civil War. There are no elevators just stairs so be sure you are able to walk up at least one flight of stairs or more. You can request a room on the bottom floor. The breakfast was wonderful with seating inside or outside. I will stay again if in the area."

"If you are visiting Amelia with your family this is the perfect beach house in its price point! We live here but rented this house when all our children came for a week! Rotated who slept here, but everyone enjoyed the house for the beach days and dinners and time by the fire pit! Perfect location on the north end! Perfect for the family pups! Perfect deck for everyone to gather and visit! Perfectly cleaned, perfectly stocked with everything we needed to have family dinners! We celebrated my grandsons 18th birthday and had a photo session on the beach! Shoutout to Kristie at Soulshine Photography!!! Check out her Facebook page, Our family photos were gorgeous,! Kristie was reasonably priced and great to work with! Did I say the house is in the perfect location on the island! It’s quiet, close to the fort and restaurants and the beach is beautiful, just a short walk over the dunes! The management company could not have been better to deal with. We had a tiny issue with the air. They came within minutes on the weekend to take care of it . And called the next day to be sure everything was fine!! I’ve stayed in a lot of air bbb’s over the years, and this house, location, beach, everything about it was perfect! Book it and come visit soon!!!"
