The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Food was incredible. The views were beautiful. The rooms were modern, stylish and cosy. We loved sitting by the fire and the outside sauna!

Fantastic place to stay, close to where we needed to be. Lovely selection with a choice that caters for all tastes.

We wanted to visit the local National Trust properties, which were all very worth visiting. The scenery was lovely (Peak District), and the pub we ate at was also very good - a recommendation of the hotel staff. We only stayed for three nights this time, but will be coming back for another visit sooner rather than later, and would hope to stay again at Newton House. The bar and lounges were nicely furnished and decorated, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Absolutely lovely stay! The room was very nice and had everything we needed, there was plenty of tea/coffee and hot chocolate which was good! The garden and surroundings were beautiful and the breakfast was amazing!!!

Very pleasant small hotel in a quiet rural setting just outside Bakewell with excellent views across the Derbyshire countryside. Room was very comfortable and appeared to have been recently decorated. Staff very friendly and the restaurant offered a good choice of meals at a reasonable price of good quality. Breakfast was also very good and really set us up for the day. For walkers there is good access to the footpath network from right outside the hotel and the river walk in the valley below...

We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . We picked a junior suit and there was nothing junior about it. We found it big , bright and offered everything we wanted . Very clean and well presented. Staff at the white horse are fantastic, ...

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.

Spacious room, good breakfast znd friendly staff. There is some nouse from the kitchen extractor fans, but this didnt go on too late.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay I've stayed in hundreds of hotels This is in my top 3 to stay in If I'm ever working in Sheffield area again. I'll have no hesitation in booking this wonderful hotel The food is so well presented and taste delicious.
