Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley by IHG

Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley by IHG

8/10 Good
"Like: - Beautiful area for the breakfast buffet and great selection of food! - We booked the king room for 2 adults and 1 child 10 yrs old. They put in an extra bed w/o being asked. - Indoor heated pool n spa were great but the pool is tiny and can get pretty busy. - Microwave in room - Gave free drinks for bday - 10% discount on food for ihg members - Beautiful grounds -Comfortable bed Don't like: - The name is a bit misleading. The hotel is in Windsor and will still take about an hour to drive up to Wiseman's Ferry/the Hawkesbury river area. - Tennis court run down n unmaintained - Aside from pool n tennis court, not much for older kids. Under 18s not allowed to play billiards. - Only regular channels, no netflix or cable channels."

"Excellent location however it was a shame about the misty foggy weather. Checking in can be problematic as messages did not arrive when checking in at 4pm. Phone contact did work."

"Beautiful old hotel with loads of character and mountain charm. As with all older buildings they need maintenance to keep up there beauty…the Hydro Majestic could do with some minor repairs to maintain its historic charm. Definitely worth a stay and a casual drink at the Belgravia Bar next to fireplace."

"Stayed here one night on a road trip, was honestly great for $100 for the night! Clearly seems to be favored by people traveling for work etc but nothing wrong with that, staff were helpful, room, bed etc was great for the money and the site seemed safe and secure. The site seemed quite new and well maintained and I believe there are a ton of rooms on site. There is a train line right behind it but truthfully I couldn't even hear it inside nor did it disturb me or my sleep in the slightest, would stay again if I'm in Penrith again!"
