The Stone House - Wild Atlantic Way

Family-friendly holiday home in Fanore
This house is truly a remarkable work of art. It was built to resemble an old stone barn and does so beautifully.

On the bottom floor there are two bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed while the other has a queen. There is a study just outside the master bedroom with a twin bed. Upstairs you will find a magnificent Great Room. At the one end there is a seating area in front of a gorgeous stone fireplace. At the other end you can sit and take in the Aran Islands, Galway Bay and breathtaking sunsets through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The second twin bed is a daybed at the end of the room with the fireplace.

In the center of the room, there is a kitchen area with an antique table that comfortably seats 12 people. Also, hidden behind the fireplace, there is a powder room. The entire house has under floor heating which is truly decadent in the cool Irish countryside.

For those of you who wish to leave the house you will find abundant entertainment. There is a gorgeous sand beach just down the road. For the golfers in your group there is a world-class golf course just a few towns over in Lahinch. Also in Lahinch you will find some of the country's best surfing. Fanore is not as renowned for its surfing but does have a surf school every summer. And for those of you music lovers, Doolin is just one town over and is renowned for its traditional Irish music.

In addition Doolin has many incredible restaurants and a fabulous craft store just down the road from the church (The Doolin Craft Shop). And if you need to get out of the countryside and into a city, Galway is just an hour away. It’s a wonderful city. Despite its small size you can find most anything you need there. If you’re looking for a great bottle of Irish Whiskey or an unusual bottle of wine, go to The Vineyard then stop by Sheridan’s Cheesemongers where you will find an amazing selection of cheese from around the world. But for those who wish to explore Fanore, you will find gorgeous scenic walks and some of the best angling in the country. And if you want to see things from s different angle, go horseback riding. You’ll love it.

The house is just up the road from O'Donohue's Pub, a small grocery shop and a fabulous restaurant (Vasco). All of them are within walking distance.

**Please be aware that there is a cleaning fee to be left in Euros on your move out day and is calculated using the number of people in your party.

1-2 people: €100
3-4 people: €125
5-6 people: €150

Additional €50 per pet added to cleaning fee.

The maximum number of guests is 8. If there are more people staying in the house than your reservation specifies, you will be required to pay the cleaning fee for the number of people who stayed. If you exceed the maximum number of guests, we will hold your ENTIRE security deposit. No exceptions.

Spectacular view
Fanore is a wonderful place to enjoy the quiet Burren coast, and we visit this part of Ireland often. This is a great house which offers a stunning view and sounds of the ocean from the great room. A mature garden screens its glass-doored primary bedroom. Well-equipped kitchen. Neighbor Anna greeted us and checked in to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We are planning our return visit.

4/5 Good

Storehouse in Fanore
House is great, very comfortable, very quiet, better than what the pictures allow us to imagine. Anna was very helpful in providing information on the area and getting around. It is far from Dublin and the roads get very narrow and it can be stressful to drive when not used to those conditions.

Fantastic few days in Fanore
We had a great time at the Stone House. The property looks even better than on the pictures. Every evening we enjoyed an amazing sunset view on the sea. Anna was great welcoming us and Deirdre and Joan sent us all the information we needed. Thanks Christophe

Best spot in Ireland
What a lucky find! We knew nothing of the Irish coast and picked this house for the Irish charm and views. It more than delivered on both! What we didn't expect is the stone cottage is also situated in the most stunning area. We spent days just driving north and south taking in our surroundings. After long days out, we would come home to sit in the living room and watch the sunset, then go to sleep in the most comfortable beds. This place was everything we hoped for and we can't wait to come back when we can stay longer!
