"Amazing location. A few bumps with getting in touch with the host/check in instructions, and the AC went out in the middle of the night, but luckily it was cool enough that we stayed comfortable. Very minimal kitchen supplies, and the closest store is a long way back, so be sure to bring your own coffee, ice, etc. Great porch, hot tub was great, and the beach is gorgeous."

"We have stayed at many properties in the outer banks, but the combination of the solitude at Carova Beach coupled with the house and all of the amenities made our families stay memorable, or as my daughter in law put it on Facebook: magical. All of the amenities were just as described. I was looking at a place for our kids and their families and we found one that we can back to again and again."

"We had a wonderful stay at Salty Wife! The location is fantastic—peaceful and relaxing. The pool was a huge highlight and was perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach.Dabney was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.The home was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to feel right at home from the moment we arrived. "The views are spectacular from Sun King II Wild horses are all around the island, which is just what we were looking for.Where the song came fall short is in maintenance. We arrive thousands of nails all around the house. outlet covers missing porch light with just wires hanging out of the wall no light the grills were rotted to the point that they actually fell over. Reached out to the manager on day of arrival and they called the next day said they would get right on the repair Wednesday electrician came out with no parts and said they’d have to get the parts. Never saw them again on our stay repairs never made."
