"Lovely beach, and beautiful views from the hotel.."
It's geared more to families and as a solo traveler it was a little too crazy for my liking. Otherwise really helpful staff and a nice place to stay

"GREAT resort! We will definitely return!"
This resort is a 10. We stayed in The Level which is worth every penny: private pool, private beach, private bar and restaurant, concierge, more relaxed feel. My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon there, and we have nothing but good things to say about it. We really do not have any cons. The staff were so friendly. Many of them remembered who we were throughout the week and greeted us every time they saw us. I read a few reviews about the staff being pushy for tips.. We did not get that vibe at all. We actually wanted to tip because everyone was so great. The food was delicious (yes, even the buffet). 876 Prime steakhouse is AWESOME (perk of staying at The Level: the higher end steaks are included and you do not have to pay extra). The beach is a tad rocky once you get out into the water so bring water shoes but the perk about this - you have great snorkeling at your very own beach. We saw all kinds of fish, sea urchins, etc. from the comfort of our own resort. We loved the laid back, relaxed feel of the resort (especially The Level side). Another perk: where the resort is situated, you are usually the last ones to get on the buses for the tours so you do not have to wait on a bus while they go from resort to resort picking up people! It was great. We will definitely be returning and recommending this resort to everyone we talk to. Two thumbs up!

"Paradise On A Smaller Scale"
This being the first time in Jamaica, I did not know what to expect. I did not anticipate the over hour and a half bus ride to the resort, but appreciated being able to take in the scenery and the fact that the hotel made this transportation possible. Upon arrival we were served refreshing cocktails. Hind sight being 20/20 I can probably say that it was done to take our minds off of the over hour wait that we had in the lobby before we were able to check into our rooms. The rooms were super clean and the housekeeping staff did not hesitate to bring you whatever you needed. The bar staff were superb! I especially appreciate Paul and Yonique at the bar and Kenwar in the buffet area. They each provided grade-A customer service and deserve to be recognized for such. Unfortunately the DJ was amateur at best and did not keep the crowd's attention. He was not able to blend music and spent too much time playing what he thought we would want to hear as opposed to music traditional of Jamaica. Additionally, other than the club and the piano bar there was nothing else to do on the resort. The beach access is limited and unless you pay for water activities there is nothing to do but sunbathe or wade in shallow water. I am not sure if I would go back but for those seeking a getaway on a budget, this is the place.

"Nice friendly staff, pretty rooms, but needs TLC "
A nice place to stay but you need a car if you are going to be there for more than a few days. Every time you go into town to eat, shop, or to Dr. Cave's beach it costs $40 round trip cash. We spent a fortune in taxi fares over our 7 days. The continental breakfast is fruit and a bagel, the extra $5 for Jamaican breakfast is nice to experience real Jamaican prepared food. The building is pretty and the staff is great, but there are some basic amenities that need to be addressed. We stayed in 2 rooms over 7 days and 6 nites. First the pros: friendly staff, home style bed and breakfast, pretty building, clean rooms, you are supporting local businesses instead of all inclusives, quiet residential area, front lawn is nicely gardened with many flowers and plants, balconies have ocean view. The cons: no brewed coffee, only instant coffee, a big NO in Jamaica, you cannot walk to town or Doctor's Cave beach and must spend $30-$40 roundtrip which really adds up, public spaces were dark and hot and staff was reluctant to turn on lights or fans, light fixtures in both rooms either missing bulbs or not working, blinds were broken in one room, bathroom rugs in both rooms were wrong size and jammed the doors, no cups in bedrooms, back yard has a few trees but is an unlandscaped dirt area with debris, patio by breakfast area has no lounge chairs or tables for outdoor relaxation, shower fixture in one bathroom broken, and hot water is iffy. Khastle Khodero has great potential with TLC

"This hotel is absolutely gorgeous!"
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the service was excellent! We had an ocean view room and it was spectacular. Only two negatives to note: 1) as it is an all inclusive, the food at a number of the restaurants was quite mediocre and 2) if you're looking for a relaxing holiday there are so many planned activities that the pool area or rooms in the evening can be quite noisy.

"Beautiful Relaxing Resort "
Secrets Resorts delivers on all promises. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were taken very good care of. The resort was very nice, the beach and gardens beautifully maintained. The food was excellent, and the staff was both professional and very friendly. Special thanks to Karry Ann, Slyvester, Bret- Lee, and Garfield. You can not go wrong staying at a Secrets Resort.

"Caters to the kids!"
Got there at 9pm and our room wasn't ready - had to sleep on a pull-out couch the first night. The food was ok - mostly made with kids in mind, nothing impressive except the jerk chicken! The lazy river is more like a lazy circle, and you have to wait to get a tube (there aren't enough for everyone). The water at the ocean was full of junk, but still ok to swim in. The pool was never over-occupied, which was great. Staff is alright - you kind of have to start the conversation but they'll join when you're friendly. Overall, great place for kids/families, not great if you're looking for good food variety.

"Great Family Hotel"
Best family resort. We have 3 boys 8,6 &2. This was our 5th time to Jamaica and 2nd time at Holiday Inn. If you are looking for making wonderful memories with your family this place is perfect. We have stayed at a few different all inclusives and this one is so kid friendly. We get the kids suite, it is right on first level we can see the ocean and walk a few steps to beach. Also, right across from kids town. Nice playground for kids to play and the activities at kids town are so fun. The beach is very clean, enough huts to block sun and shallow enough for little kids to play. We loved snorkeling saw so many fish and love the island. Only down side to beach is not long miles to walk, but most resorts in Montego Bay are like that. If you want the long beach walks go to Negril. The Pool was clean and life guards are excellent. We loved the day time entertainment for kids lots of kids contests, prizes to win. And they especially love the pool side bar and grill to get their own grill cheese, burger, nachos, ice cream, popcorn. Can't beat it. We also enjoyed the shuffle board, mini golf and tennis courts. As for the food. Most of our time we went to the buffet for our family with a 2 year old it is not relaxing at a nice sit down dinner right now, but the buffet was always delicious and fresh! The staff works so hard and are so great! This was another wonderful visit to Jamaica we will be back!

"Beautiful resort"
I love the half moon - because it's peaceful and relaxing and beautiful - the all inclusive meal plan option is worth it in the end because the food prices seem high- our rooms AC was loud and leaked water which isn't normally a big deal since we're only in the room to sleep . But sleeping with that noise was ehhh- and the communal pools aren't that great either but I come for the beach anyway- food was delish- drinks were good - complimentary beach cruisers were fab.
