"Deja Resort was a big disappointment. It looked nothing like the pictures on the website. We stayed in room 122. The room itself was below average. The front door handle was loose and I didn't feel safe, so I put a chair against it. The patio was a joke. Just plastic chairs and a table next to an air conditioner unit that was falling apart. The bathroom shutters were slightly opened so people walking down the hallway could see in, so I draped a towel over them for privacy. There is no direct beach access either. We had to pay $7 each, cross a busy street, and show a ticket to get onto beach. When speaking with other guest they agreed that website was very misleading. The one bright spoy was the staff. They were excellent, very friendly and professional. "

"I had a really beautiful stay here overall. The property itself is stunning the pool area especially is exactly what you picture when you think of a relaxing, all-inclusive escape. It’s clean, well-maintained, and easy to settle into. The staff were kind and welcoming, and you can tell they work hard to keep things running smoothly. There were moments where things felt a little slow or unorganized, but nothing that completely took away from the experience more just something to be aware of if you’re used to super polished service. The spa and amenities definitely helped me unwind, and I appreciated having space to relax without feeling rushed. It’s a great place if you want to slow down, enjoy the atmosphere, and just be for a few days. I’d recommend it for the overall vibe and beauty, just with the mindset of going with the flow rather than expecting everything to be perfectly seamless."

"I want to start off saying that the staff and food were excellent. ALL workers worked hard considering the circumstances. We didn’t realize this property was closed for renovations and reopening after the devastation of the hurricane. When we purchased the package, we were under the assumption that all advertised amenities were available and READY when we arrived. However, we quickly learned otherwise. There was quite a bit of damage done to the building and repairs were still being made. As a result, there were many amenities that were not available. For instance, only one pool and swim-up bar was open, one buffet was open, and three restaurants were available for nightly reservations, so lines were often long and/or reservations were unavailable. There was no working TV or phone in our room and no nightly entertainment to enjoy except ONE Friday night show that comes with an additional $25 charge per person. The spa facility was operating on one of the base levels in an area that guests used to stay and noisy because of the constant foot traffic. There was no “spa” facility to relax and enjoy aside from getting an ordinary message that was priced at their traditional rate. The bed linens and pillows smelled so musty and sour, I had to cover them with one of our t-shirts to mask the smell until we could get them changed. One steward came to our door wanting to clean our room at 10:30 one night. Facility wasn’t ready, don’t go until fully opened. "

"My bathroom toilet got stopped up a few times. It was fixed right away. Wish there were more restaurants on site and that access was granted to the other hotels on the strip. All in all a great vacation will be returning. "

"Patrick and Natoya are true Gems ! The place was so gorgeous making the second half in a hotel feel like a nightmare . The Villa was stunning , clean and felt so safe ! not to mention the views ! They set us up unforgettable excursions and continued to remind me to take my time . its Island time and relax . loved getting to know them and so grateful to have found them"

"Overall the Riu was ok. Nice atmosphere and the workers are very pleasant. Food was descent. I think the Riu needs more visible security 24 hours a day. My neighbors were arguing n fighting one night for awhile and not a security in sight! Also the swim up pool was a little too small. Felt like we was on top of each other. There’s no room service. House keeping took my emergency bag of bars and hydration packs I travel with ( diabetic). Overall the trip was very reasonable. So I guess you pay for what you get."

"Toilet wouldn’t flush properly, kept getting clogged. Complaints were made and workers had excuses for all complaints. Robes were stained upon arrival, looks like make up!!"
