Cleanliness of the house could have been better, dirty windows, sills and outside seating areas. Other than that home from home. ##### Paula T. The house was extremely comfortable & well equipped & we enjoyed exploring North Norfolk. Lovely property with all the creature comforts and mod cons, an escape form the congested urban jungle. The garden is spacious with two large seating areas and great to watch the barn owl(s) and bats fly over just after sunset. We were also lucky to see the Perseid meteors, the skies lived up to expectations Stone Croft is decorated to a good standard, comfy furniture, smart tv's and wifi will keep the youngsters entertained. There is a large playing field only a short walk away should you need the space. Unfortunately, the property is located just that bit too far away to walk to any pub/shops although its perfectly located to explore the surrounding area and local attractions such as Pensthorpe, good access to the main thoroughfares of the North Norfolk coast (A148 and A149) - the village could just do with a decent pub and it'd be a perfect location. If you're after peace and quiet after an hectic day of exploring and adventuring and are prepared to cook in the evening this is the place, however, if you wish to eat out in the evening then be prepared to travel. Would we come back? Yes we would. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### John T. 27 Jul 2021 #### Beautiful house in tranquil location. The garden is private and a great place to chill with a glass of wine after a long day exploring North Norfolk. A lovely place for friends to meet up and spend some time together. We hope to return. ##### Anne L. This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### glenda w. 22 Jun 2021 #### Lovely Stay. This was our second stay at this beautiful holiday home. Everything has been thoughtfully planned. The owners have great taste in furnishings. The beds are so comfortable & the garden is lovely. You can sit in the summer evenings and watch the sun go down. . If you are In need of some peace & tranquility that gives close proximity to all the North Norfolk beaches, this is a perfect place to stay. We are looking forward to returning to this little bit of heaven. ##### glenda w. I can’t put into words how lovely Stonecroft was. The weather was terrible when we visited Norfolk but it didn’t matter because we had such a beautiful base to return too. The house was laid out perfectly with lots of nice extra touches. It was spotless. The only issue was the cleaning team waiting to get into the property over half an hour before checking out. This caused a little extra stress that wasn’t necessary. So much so we forgot an item or two under the pressure. We always leave on time. It just felt unnecessary.... maybe park down the road and wait until 10am?! Would still recommend and hope to return one day. Although we were there in March we'd love to have been there in the summer months when we could have taken advantage of the garden and set and eaten outside. Dining kitchen was lovely, plenty of cooking equipment and lots of room. Situated in a very quiet location it's only 6 miles away from Fakenham or Holt which have supermarkets, shops and eating places. Within 20 minutes of the coast, its a great location for those who want to visit the coastal areas or visit the bird and nature reserves. There's also a bus just up the road that links you to Holt and Fakenham and routes thereon. We stay in cottages a couple of time a year, all over the country and this is one of the nicest we've stopped in. We stayed in winter and the cottage was very warm. Spacious and well fitted kitchen come family room with a dining table. The cottage accommodates up to 6 people but bunk beds in bed3 mean that 2 of these should be children. The ensuite is a little snug but the family bathroom was certainly big enough. We were 4 on our visit for a week and did not feel we were tripping over each other; but not so sure if there were to be another 2 staying; although ours was a winter visit so we could not spill out into the garden where there is a large table and a separate seating area, all kitted out. Very good broadband connection. Parking for 2 cars at the front is fine but no more. The lane outside is single track so on street parking would not be easy/convenient. Quiet village location with excellent access via nearby A148 to much of north and mid Norfolk and the wide range of local facilities in nearby Fakenham and Holt. ##### David Willis ## Expedia's Latest Trends ### Hotels > [Splash Landings Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Stoke-On-Trent-Hotels-Splash-Landings-Hotel.h1160988.Hotel-Information) > > [The Derwent Manor Boutique Hotel ](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Consett-Hotels-The-Derwent-Manor-Boutique-Hotel.h9535.Hotel-Information) > > [Bredbury Hall by Accor](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Stockport-Hotels-Bredbury-Hall.h64706.Hotel-Information) > > [DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-DoubleTree-By-Hilton-Manchester-Airport.h26104.Hotel-Information) > > [Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Colchester-Hotels-Delta-Hotels-By-Marriott-Colchester.h14251.Hotel-Information) > > [Ox Hotel Manchester](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-Milton-Manchester-Hotel.h18787802.Hotel-Information) > > [Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cambridge-Hotels-Cambridge-Belfry.h1103020.Hotel-Information) > > [Wheatsheaf, Baslow by Marston's Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bakewell-Hotels-Wheatsheaf.h12323109.Hotel-Information) > > [Best Western Pinewood Manchester Airport-Wilmslow Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Wilmslow-Hotels-Best-Western-Plus-Pinewood-On-Wilmslow-Hotel-Cheshire.h22074.Hotel-Information) > > [Fisherman's Cot, Tiverton by Marston's Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Tiverton-Hotels-Fishermans-Cot.h11900175.Hotel-Information) > > [Delta Hotels by Marriott Warwick](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Warwick-Hotels-M40-J15-Warwick-Hotel.h10444.Hotel-Information) > > [Saltmoore](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Whitby-Hotels-Raithwaite-Sandsend.h4276816.Hotel-Information) > > [Wychnor Park Country Club](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Burton-On-Trent-Hotels-Wychnor-Park-Country-Club.h1927715.Hotel-Information) > > [Caverswall Castle](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Stoke-On-Trent-Hotels-Caverswall-Castle.h23959535.Hotel-Information) > > [Luxury caravan at Butlins Skegness](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Skegness-Hotels-Luxury-Caravan-At-Butlins-Skegness.h36376338.Hotel-Information) > > [Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Delta-By-Marriott-Cheltenham-Chase-Hotel.h9657.Hotel-Information) > > [Britannia Hotel Manchester Airport](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-Britannia-Hotel-Manchester-Airport.h2144.Hotel-Information) > > [Pine Lake Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carnforth-Hotels-Pine-Lake-Resort.h1928661.Hotel-Information) > > [The Bowman by Greene King Inns](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Nottingham-Hotels-The-Bowman.h46162199.Hotel-Information) > > [Cave Hotel & Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Faversham-Hotels-Cave-Hotel-Golf-Resort.h33410673.Hotel-Information) > > [Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Brigg-Hotels-Forest-Pines-Spa-Golf-Resort.h461512.Hotel-Information) > > [De Vere Tortworth Court](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bristol-Hotels-De-Vere-Tortworth-Court.h570412.Hotel-Information) > > [The New French Partridge](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Northampton-Hotels-The-New-French-Partridge.h2288818.Hotel-Information) > > [Etrop Grange Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-Etrop-Grange.h49116.Hotel-Information) > > [Lakeside Lodge with 6 berth hot tub and private fishing peg](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lincoln-Hotels-Delightful-Lakeside-Lodge-With-Hot-Tub-Private-Fishing-Peg-With-Stunning-View.h27123912.Hotel-Information) > > [Northlands Farm & Lakes](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Chichester-Hotels-Northlands-Farm-Lakes-Premium-Chalet-1.h37797465.Hotel-Information) > > [Urban Beach Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bournemouth-Hotels-Urban-Beach-Hotel.h2814369.Hotel-Information) > > [DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Stoke-On-Trent-Hotels-DoubleTree-By-Hilton-Stoke-On-Trent.h6788.Hotel-Information) > > [Makeney Hall Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Belper-Hotels-Makeney-Hall-Hotel.h1206529.Hotel-Information) ---
