If you are troubled with altitude level, this might not be for you. Hiking was great in the area. Saw moose, elk and fox. The only disconcerting thing about our stsy was the realization we were being monitored by camera outside. We realize there are problem guests owners have to deal with; but we are not. A couple of things, the owner should consider getting a new outdoor grill. We were planning on cooking steaks the night we arrived but the grill was completely unusable. Looks like it had not been cleaned in years, no grease trap, interior parts are rusty and falling apart. Not usable! the only other thing, the dishwasher soap was empty. Cabin has all the amenities you will need. TV's were great as they were for streaming. The only downside is the heat was broken. We were able to use space heaters that kept us warm on the chilly nights. Also they do not have a Keurig so dont bring K-cups. ##### Chris H. It was nice. Some of the doors/locks are a little finicky and you have to get used to it. The 2 main doors to the deck werent allowed to be opened for some reason so this made it a little awkward getting in and out. The hot tub was a hit with the kids and was very nice. Would stay again if we ever decide on Fairplay as our vacation spot. The owners were very quick in their responses and the check-in process was seemless. We had six adults in our group. Beautiful cabin about 12 minutes outside Fairplay. Cabin was very clean and very comfortable. Wrap around deck was amazing and allowed us to follow the sun from morning until sunset. The Hot tub was amazing and very clean. The only slightly negative observation was the tiny little bathroom upstairs in the loft...which is set up to be the Master suite. Not a big deal. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The grocery store in Fairplay was surprisingly well stocked and had everything we needed for our week. We bought some drinking water - but the well water at the house was just fine and bottled water is not really necessary. The gravel road getting up to the property has some rough spots...but that's to be expected if you're choosing a quiet place away from town. Unfortunately the house had very low water pressure so no two people could shower at once. The house has amazing views but is in a road that is very difficult to drive with snow/ice. The views are amazing. Be sure you have all-wheel drive or 4x4 with good tires for snow. It was a bit of a drive to Breckenridge however, the whole way is scenic and goes by quick. The only downside to this place was that on the first hot tub night, I looked up and noted a security camera aimed right in my direction. Just felt a little wielded out after that but, didn’t stop me from using it again and would not stop me from staying here again. Just something to be aware of. Highly Recommend! ##### Jon Paul H. I work up at 5am the first night to no power in the house. It was 36 degrees outside and 63 degrees in the house. I message the property agent, and they said they would investigate it. I never hear back from them, so I followed up at 9:30am. The home was very cool, and the propane fireplace did not work. I could not have coffee, cook breakfast, take a shower, flush toilets, etc. I told them that if the power was not back on at 10am I would be packing up and leaving and I wanted a refund for the 2nd night. They said, I think the power will be on at 10:30\. The power was not on at 10:30 so I packed up and left and sent them a text at 11am when everything was locked up. They responded that since this was not their fault it was outside of their policy to offer a refund. Let me ask any halfway intelligent breathing human, was it more my fault or the owners/property managers fault that their property was not as advertised. I paid for a property with power, a working fridge, a working TV, working WIFI, able to cook meals, use the hot tub, take showers, flush toilets, and turn on lights. The king bed sags bad, so I had to move to a smaller room because my back was killing me. I think the mattress was 20yrs old. Also, the hot tub is just warm and the WIFI is super slow. For anyone who thinks, no way a professional would that terrible, the text chain is attached. Property owner, you should fire this representative....... ##### CLINT T. However, No matter what we say about how catastrophic this stay was we don’t want the comment back from the property management company to point their finger back at us. I wish the public could read our reviews from multiple rental companies over the many years as my husband and I travel all over the lower 48\. This is the most unprofessional company we’ve used ever. Over stating and under delivering out to be their motto. If you read their policies and procedures? They steer completely of path in relation to their posting. Once again, please don’t make the mistake we did. Over all? The place is a 7 out of 10\. The property management company was absolutely terrible.
