Welcome to the Happy Husky Hideaway! As you step from the large wrap around deck to enter the front door of the home, you are greeted by the sunny and bright, floor-to-ceiling windows of the Great Room. Every window features gorgeous, elevated woodland views of the surrounding aspens and pines and the comfortable window-side seating around the gas fireplace provides a cozy central living space for lounging days away with those you love. Relish in the classic Mountain Cabin decor with thoughtful, unique and personal touches throughout the house that will make you feel right at home. Settle in for meal time or a good board game around the high top dining table, with comfortable seating for 6\. The well appointed Kitchen features ample counter space, all the modern appliances, and ensures that you have everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. Start your day off with a fresh and tasty pot of coffee while you enjoy the beautiful views down the tree lined property, where you can often catch an early morning glimpse of the resident moose, foxes and mule deer (to name just a few of the critters you may encounter). As you make your way down the hallway, you'll find the conveniently situated Central Half-Bathroom with a standard toilet and large vanity space. The Master Suite features a King size bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, large closet and an open En Suite Bathroom. The En Suite Bathroom has a standard toilet, large vanity space, a bathtub/shower combo - so you can choose to start the day with a quick and refreshing rinse or sink in for a long, hot soak after all the activities a day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains may afford. Wind your way up the stairs to the open loft, where the Loft Bedroom features a Queen size bed fitted with our cozy cotton bed linens, a comfy couch space (perfect for curling up with a good book and reading the blustery days away!) and a well lit desk space perfect for your workdays or game time alike. Even in this rural location, you can stay connected with the high-speed Starlink Internet, providing the fastest and most dependable internet in the area! After you've spent your day at play in the great outdoors, wander down the steps to the spacious ground floor Game Room where you will find something fun for everyone! The Game Room offers a comfortable couch and loveseat around a smart TV with streaming access to Netflix, Hulu and Disney, a full size pool table, dart board and corner hightop table and chairs. Down the hallway the Ground Floor Bedroom features a Queen size bed, a spacious closet and a large window with ground level woodland views. The Ground Floor Bathroom offers a standard toilet, large vanity space and a bathtub/shower combo. At the end of the hallway, the Laundry Room offers a full size washing machine and dryer available for guest use, so there is no need to waste precious vacation time making the trip to town and waiting at the laundromat! (Please note, there is an indoor security camera located in this room for the purpose of monitoring the furnace and water softening/filtration system). The spacious, partially covered deck of the home offers comfortable seating for Summertime lounging, a propane BBQ grill and quiet, secluded woodland views. Additionally, the Glacier Ridge subdivision is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to safely observe many different wild animals right from the elevated deck space. Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more. The location is perfect to visit the many bars and restaurants in Breckenridge, Fairplay or Alma. The cabin itself is private but warm and inviting. It is very clean with comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped and it feels like a home away from home! The entertainment area on the lower level is an added bonus with a TV, pool table, dartboard and board games. The wrap-around deck will be the perfect place to spend warm summer evenings, relaxing and catching glimpses of the wildlife. We loved it and will definitely be back. There were four of us including my two adult sons and we are all very comfortable. There's plenty of room , the kitchen is well stocked, the entertainment area downstairs is fabulous and I can't say enough about the quality mattress of the king bed . We were thrilled to learn the cabin had a whole house humidifier which is game changer given the elevation ! Happy Husky is a great find and you will not be disappointed!! It has a deck wrapping around two sides of the house so that at any time of day there were comfortable options for sitting out there on the comfy aluminum-frame rocking chairs to breathe the cool mountain air and enjoy the quiet. Magnificent nighttime sky view from the deck. The inside was roomy and the floor plan, with a bed on each level, met our needs well. The kitchen was well outfitted with good cookware, appliances and utensils; we used the propane grill outside a lot. One nice touch was dog water bowl/food bowls. Big-screen TV and pool table on the ground level. Plenty of options for hiking nearby and for dog walking near the cabin on the property and on the neighboring roads. If you are coming from a lower elevation, be sure to build in some time to acclimate. We all felt the altitude and were able to take it easy for the first couple of days. The hosts were easy to contact and responded quickly when we had a question. Thanks for a great stay. ##### Julie L. The check-in process was very smooth. The views of the surrounding woodland were gorgeous! We were pleasantly surprised by the sight of a moose walking through the property! The kitchen had everything that we needed including very nice LG appliances, which we appreciate since we prefer to prepare our own meals rather than go out. The beds and linens were very clean and super comfortable! This was our first time renting a pet-friendly property. We were impressed by how clean everything was. There is no evidence of pet hair or stains. It was nice to bring our pooch with us. It was a true mountain experience in a lovely, nicely decorated cabin.
