Our cozy 1921 cottage apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood beneath 19 200 foot redwood trees. In Fairfax, you're not too far from anything! The town of Fairfax is a wonderful combination of boho arts, yoga, mountain bike riders,farmers market, lovers of good food and entertainment. We have two markets, one the "world-famous" Good Earth natural food store. Our house is within walking distance of the town center on a closed road with minimal car traffic Walk to Town You'll have your front entrance & front deck. 2 bedrooms. (1 Queen and 1 single) Large living room area. Full bathroom. 1000 sq ft of space Gas Fireplace Jr kitchen, we have a toaster oven, microwave, coffee, and tea, so it's good for a little snack or breakfast. We're located just 10 min walk to downtown Fairfax where there's lots of good food, bars with live music, yoga, and possibly the best ice cream shop ever. The bus stop is located right downtown so it's easy to catch a bus to the city, or a shuttle to the beach. You'll also be located a 10 min walk from loads of hiking and mountain biking trails in Deer Park. If you're feeling energetic you can hike up to one of the five lakes nearby, or just drive 20 min up the hill. Point Reyes National Seashore -- 30-minute drive Spirit Rock Meditation Center -- 10-minute drive San Francisco -- 45 min. drive Napa -- 1-hour drive No smoking inside No pets Guest access You'll have access to the whole front cottage, with your own private entrance w/o passing through. We live in the back of the house through the back gate. We have a dog that roams around in the yard so we ask that you not open the back gate. We have one parking spot. There is plenty of free parking down the street. Interaction with guests If you're independent, that's cool. If you would like recommendations about what to do in the area, where to eat, etc. we're happy to chat. We're usually home and or available on our cell phones. The host is so friendly and helpful, making sure we had a travel crib for our 1 year old and giving lots of toddler-friendly suggestions for activities that we followed and really enjoyed. The cottage is cool and roomy but cosy, with a very comfy couch and nice open living area. Kitchen is well-equipped and well-stocked making it easy to cook, and the location is great as you can walk into town in 10 mins. Beds are comfy and cottage is quiet making for comfy sleep. The redwoods surrounding ensure you feel so at peace. We spent many hours sitting out front at the little table as our toddler napped. This cottage was so sweet! It was a perfect space for three senior sisters. The beds were comfy. It's very cozy, super clean, and perfect for a SFO area getaway. Very close to San Fran, Muir Woods, and wine country. We loved the quaint little town of Fairfax. Great responsive host. Fairfax and this cozy home were both perfect! We were able to visit the City, hike the redwoods and sip wine in Sonoma! Our hosts were lovely and added to our enjoyment ! We were coming for a wedding at Deer Park Villa which was 5 minutes away and this Vrbo made the stay more magical! The host was super helpful and they thought of everything- even spices, coffee, and extra blankets. Our friends stayed on the pull out sofa and said it was very comfortable too!
