"I have never gotten less than I paid for. Amenities on the description make it sound like some grand hotel for cheaper but it was more a rundown super 8 at a higher price. If I had done more research, I never would have stayed. We had to plug everything in before use, the AC took 15 minutes before it kicked on, mini fridge never worked, the pool was always locked. The room itself was dirty, stains everywhere, an actual blood streak on the bathroom sink wall, staff only showed when called - he hurried to fix our keys and did find me some plastic silverwear after we discovered no breakfast was available and "on site restaurants" means within walking distance. The water was not safe enough to bathe the kids as it kept switching between scalding and freezing. Unrelated to hotel itself sort of, there was a really creepy old lady who kept approaching people inside and outside of the building. A kid was really uncomfortable. The room by ours legitimately was shooting a p*** video - 2 guys, 4 girls, loud and kept rearranging the furniture at 2am."

"If you are looking for something different from the typical 'cookie cutter" hotel, you may want to try a night in this one. The hotel is a renovation of a former Catholic School and as a preservationist myself, I appreciate visionary proprietors who can breathe new life into vintage buildings that no longer serve their original purpose. My room was on the ground floor, and I imagine it was a former dorm room. It was well rehabbed, though it was strange that there were no windows, until you realize what the room once was. It felt like a secure hide-away, but I wouldn't recommend it for those who might feel claustrophobic in such a setting. Other unexpected features included a check-in counter that was extended to include a bar. One large room (which I suspected was a sanctuary) was converted into a roller ring. There were no roller skaters that night, but it would have been fun to join in if there were. Everything was clean, and the vibe was distinctively creative. Overall, a memorable stay."

"Room was ok, the hvac unit in the room as not sealed. Which made the room very drafty. Shower was ok, it wouldn't seal to make the shower full blast. Door latch wouldn't come out, had to lock the door and unlock for the latch to come out to be able to shut the door. "
