Perkins" home is registered in Exeter's historic district and it's location on High Street is a perfect home base for your Exeter adventure. No detail has been spared in this thoughtful update, completed in 2024. A professionally interior designed home, with a brand new kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, plumbing, HVAC and electric make for a perfect stay in this historic revolutionary town. Exeter is a classic New England town, founded in 1638, over 130 years before the American Revolution. Visit the tavern where George Washington stayed in 1775; visit the site of the Revolutionary War Capital; walk along the Swasey Parkway; shop in the quaint stores and dine at the many fine and casual dining options in town. In the winter, curl up with a book or watch a movie in the renovated carriage house- now a beautiful library; in fall, drive into the country to see the gorgeous New England foliage colors; and in Spring and Summer enjoy the proximity to beaches, trails and hikes. Or sit outside on the renovated brick patio with a gas grill and shady dining table and chairs.

This was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to stay in the Exeter/seacoast area of New Hampshire. A truly charming residence. The most well appointed residence we have stayed in.
Beautiful historic home, well maintained. Although the home is large, it feels warm and cozy. Fantastic location that was an easy walk to downtown Exeter where there are great restaurants and cute shops. Easy drives to the ocean, mountains and Boston. After days of hiking, ziplining and even skydiving, it was the perfect peaceful place to relax.
We had an amazing 4-night stay at this super charming and tasteful historic home over my son’s graduation weekend from Phillips Exeter Academy. It truly felt like home. The house is kitted out with everything needed. It’s the perfect launching pad to stay when visiting New England or a child at Phillips Exeter Academy. The location is great. Shops and restaurants are a short walk. The Academy is close but you’re not on top of your child. A shout out to the super responsive owner and property manager.
