Although the room was on the smaller side, amenities were great and the pool and spa area was awesome. "I knew it was madness even to drive TO Sintra. But the hotel was very helpful in trying to help me manage the downsides of coming by car. They advised I park the car immediately and use Ubers, taxis, or TukTuk to get around locally. Check! They had awkward, but OK off-site parking in an enclosed lot a few minutes walk from the hotel. Not great! The keypad activated door closed with us inside the lot. One [70 ] person had to climb over the enclosure wall to let the others out! [No keypad...

Room was spacious, bright and clean, beds maybe a little firmer than I would like, but this I find is normal in Europe. Black out drapes ensure a dark, quiet restful environment. "The wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We felt that we were staying in a palace. The workers were dressed in attire from medieval times. The decor was of medieval times. They include a breakfast buffet fit for a king. The staff was extremely friendly. We arrived late in the evening and a gentleman went out to a nearby restaurant to ask if they could accommodate us as it was 1/2 hour before closing times. He came back and told us if we hurried over they would accommodate us....
