This remarkable mountain residence stands proudly near the southern boundary of prestigious Windcliff Estates, right on the slopes of Ram's Horn Mountain -- overlooking one of the finest, most majestic mountain vistas imaginable. It's a perfect place to enjoy the nature and wildlife the area has to offer. Plus, Windcliff's private trail entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park is only a few hundred feet from the front door of Hyler! Experience Hyler's Mountain Lodge The lodging experience at the Hyler home captures the essence of our surroundings. We'll start with the living room, which is oriented towards the mountains. Beneath the supporting beams of its high ceiling, a peaked window mimics the mountains it so proudly frames. Leather couches and swivel chairs let you enjoy your company -- and the spectacular view behind. A wood-burning fireplace peeks out from a wall of Colorado moss rock. Twin west-facing decks give you space to relax, grill some trout, or simply observe as the sun surrenders the sky to the moon and the stars. Hyler's kitchen and bar is a masterpiece -- and brand new. It's composed of granite, rich wood, and tile. Every essential tool or vessel a chef could desire is provided, and awaits an opportunity to help you craft the finest culinary delicacies. Maybe you'll be inspired to create your newest dish amongst the gorgeous surroundings! When your meal is ready, set the great live edge dining table for up to 10 members of your family and guests. The house is spectacular, with modern, updated styling and is very well supplied in the kitchen (and well-thought out design). Views of the mountains were spectacular, and enjoyed seeing elk nearby. The Hyler was a great base for us, for going into town/Estes Park for shopping and eating (plug for Bird & Jim's...so good), touring the Stanley, etc. Great location for accessing Rocky Mountain National Park (highly recommend the Cub Lake hike...very family friendly hike). Customer service was spot on from the beginning. Beautiful home, beautiful area. We cooked every day, the kitchen is really well stocked with everything you could need. We had three families, all with small children (4 & under). This house was perfect for accommodating all of us. The house was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. I wish there was a little more space outdoors for the kids to run around, and that the hot tub would have been working, but overall the views were beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. ##### Laura S. The management team was able to let in the chefs we booked so they could get to work on our way back from the park, which was amazing. One downside was the hot tub wasn't working, they gave us a couple bottles of wine and apologized when we checked in. I don't think we would have used it anyway but that was the one bummer. This is my first time writing a review, EVER! This house was simply amazing; it definitely exceeded all our expectations. Everything was first class: the kitchen, bed rooms, fireplace, hot tub, and let’s not forget the picturesque views from every window in the house. All thanks is given to the Hyler family, Windcliff Estates, and Town of Estes Park for providing a space for my friends and I to escape the nightmares of COVID-19/2020, if only for a few days. You all helped bring the 6 of us from various cities and states to create spectacular memories that’s promised to last us a life time. We hope to be back, Fall 2021\. Again, thanks for everything.
