"Love, love The Capitola Hotel! The staff, especially Julie, are awesome and always helpful, the rooms and property are always clean and welcoming. The Grand Cayman is our favorite room and paying for the garage parking is so worth the price! The location perfect, within walking distance of everything. If you’re a light sleeper, use the ear plugs, early mornings are very noisy with deliveries across the street and the street cleaning."

"All the staff & houskeeping were very friendly & accommodating, upgraded our cottage with out asking, taught me about the grounds, beautiful succulant plants, the Eagle that comes to their Eucalyptus trees & about the Monarch Butterflies they save their eggs inside until they hatch & have released over 4000. I actually got to see one coming out of its cocoon. Exciting! Very nice continental breakfast that they delivered to our cottage. The views of the ocean are the best & even if it was cool & foggy, it was warn & sheltered on their grounds. We truly enjoyed our stay!!! We do recommend staying here & even though it's close to Capitola village, it's hilly & you'd want to take your car & find parking."

"Great location with all the amenities. Very clean and access was easy. Beds are comfy too. Shops are close by. If you need groceries for a longer stay, head to Bay Ave where there is a grocery store close to the freeway. Hit up Gayle’s Bakery too for a delicious meal and some treat. Communication with host was fast and easy. Overall. A very great stay!"

Capitola Village Retreat with Garage!

"My wife and two daughters (2 and 6) came here the first weekend of June 2026. It was our first stay as a family near the beach. The property really exceeded my expectations! It felt clean and spacious and much more modern than most of the other places we had looked at in that area. It's an easy, short, flat walk to the beach which was excellent for our young kids. As is noted in the listing and other reviews, the parking garage is pretty tight to squeeze into, but I was able to get my RAV4 in without too much trouble, and the dedicated parking space was absolutely essential for a busy summer weekend in Capitola where street parking looked nearly impossible to find. I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Capitola."
