A holiday rental located in the Sault region, right in the heart of the Aude Pyrenees—a land of fine cuisine and magnificent landscapes. Its location is ideal, as you’ll be close to many attractions: the mountain and ski resorts of Camurac and Ax-Les-Thermes, the Cathar castles of Montségur and Puivert, the Gorges de l’Aude, and Lake Montbel and Lake Belcaire. It’s an attractive destination for enjoying nature and its tranquility; there are many hiking trails to explore, such as the Cathar Trail, which passes through Espezel, as well as the Nature Trail and the Green Labyrinth. For cycling enthusiasts, there are numerous routes to choose from, including those of the Tour de France. You’ll love the panoramic views of this rich region—get away from it all during your stay in Espezel. Right in the village, you’ll find all the shops you need (supermarket, bakery, butcher shop, pharmacy, and restaurants where you can sample the delicious local cuisine). The cottage is a cosy retreat for four and features a beautiful private terrace with patio furniture and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying meals outdoors and relaxing moments. It also boasts a large, fenced-in, lush outdoor area where peace and quiet will be the hallmarks of your stay. The cottage opens onto a large living room with a dining area, a lounge area with a sofa, a smart TV, and a fireplace insert; a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar; and a laundry area with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a safe for your personal belongings. There’s also a home office area for remote work, complete with a printer. The first bedroom features a 140-size bed and connects directly to a separate bathroom—which is also accessible from the living room—equipped with a large walk-in shower, a sink, and a toilet. A second bedroom with a 140-bed. Private, secure parking on the property. Electricity consumption: 2 kWh/day/person included. Any excess consumption must be paid to the owner at the end of the stay. For the fireplace, half a stère of firewood is provided at the start of the stay; additional quantities are available for a fee—please contact the owner directly. Second pet: €30 per stay.
