The Taber Inne & Suites

"We were greeted by the owner, Tom, and his longtime friend (Joe) who helps at the Inn. They were both so kind, fun, and friendly! They made us feel welcome right away. They explained the area to us, along with directions to the famous Lobster Shack “Abbot’s.” They gave us a map of the downtown area and circled several landmarks (including Mystic Pizza). Joe escorted us to our room, as we enjoyed beautiful grounds & landscaping, and showed us all the amenities on the way. He told old us to call, in the morning, when we wanted coffee, and they’ll bring it up to us!!! It was a delicious basket including 2 cups of coffee, blueberry muffins, and fresh fruit! The room was extremely clean and very pretty (New England Charm)! Every worker who we met was friendly and willing to help. Very close to downtown, which has many shops & restaurants. We will definitely visit Mystic again and stay at the Taber Inn."

"My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we loved it. The owner is super kind and very welcoming, and we really enjoyed our stay. The room as others have noted, was very clean. It was also much larger than we thought too so that was nice. It is very private and very peaceful as well. Its a short walk to downtown which we appreciated. I highly recommend this property to anyone. I"

"Alexis was a great host. She offered suggestions for places to visit and eat. I was only in the area one full day so didn't have a lot of time. The place was clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The location was perfect for an evening walk into Mystic."

"Debbie and Paul are the perfect hosts. They leave the house with such wonderful accommodations for their guests! Plenty of towels and little extras around the house! Would recommend this property to a friend! Easy walk to downtown Mystic. Beautiful views from the front of the house and a charming yard that was lovely to spend time in!"

"The home was more than expected.This was our first time renting a property and did not know what to expect. It was perfect for our family getaway that included 3 generations. There was nothing that we needed except for our clothes and food. There were toys, puzzles and books that the children enjoyed as well as a "playground" in the large private yard, that also had a deck and gas grill, perfect two wine down at the end of the day.The host was wonderful and very responsive. I had emailed a question at 8:45pm fully expecting an answer the next morning, but she answered me within 5 minutes! The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you need if you decide to bring food to cook. The location is perfect. Within walking distance to the shops and restaurants but not in the middle of the hubbub of downtown. So many options for dining and activities within a short drive as well. I highly recommend this property."
