"Haus Solea," which features one vacation apartment, is located in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel on a beautiful, spacious lot with a garden, terrace, breakfast balcony, and a wonderful view toward Bensersiel across open fields and meadows.

The cozy, modernly furnished and equipped vacation apartment, situated in an extremely quiet location, measures approximately 45 square meters and is suitable for two to four people. Our beautiful garden offers plenty of space for peace and relaxation. And it provides children with plenty of opportunities to play. You don’t have to keep a constant eye on the children, because the house is located on a street with very little traffic, and the garden is set back from the road and clearly separated from the street.

“Haus Solea” is located on the northwestern edge of the historic town center of Esens. In one direction, it’s just a three-minute bike ride to downtown, where you’ll find all the amenities you could want.

We’d be happy to tell you about all the interesting places to visit in our cozy and charming “Bear Town” of Esens—a town over 475 years old with a historic town center—and, of course, the “highlights” of the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel. For example, there are plenty of events—both big and small—and museums to explore here. Or you can simply enjoy some true peace and quiet right here in and around our house.

In the other direction, you can leave Esens and, for example, bike right through the idyllic marshlands and perhaps even along the “Benser Tief” to Bensersiel (What is a “Tief”? Want to know more? Click here on this sentence!). A beautiful hiking and biking trail—part of the East Frisia Hiking Trail—runs right past our property. So all you have to do is “jump on,” so to speak. This way, you’ll reach the beach feeling relaxed and refreshed. Or you can start your bike tour or hike right here.

Of course, you can also get there by car in just a few minutes (and, best of all, completely away from regular traffic), but by bike, depending on the route you choose, you’ll reach the sea and Bensersiel in about 3 to 5 kilometers in complete tranquility—having already breathed in plenty of healthy sea air—and you’ll be able to especially enjoy the beach and the many tourist, spa, and vacation facilities.

Our location is ideal for long walks, bike rides, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing vacation on the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.

By car, you can reach Bensersiel or the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both of these coastal towns and North Sea spa resorts by bus.

The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has plenty to offer for relaxation, sports, and recreation—for example, beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surfing spots along the dike, fitness facilities, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.

Soak up the sun or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vast landscapes of East Frisia by bike. In Bensersiel, visit the “Sonneninsel” North Sea thermal bath complex, a modern, heated water park and leisure facility. It also houses all spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness center. Or head to the beach, where you’ll find the new beach complex featuring “Bennis Abenteuerland”—a covered beach area for children—as well as a maritime sports theme park with a circus tent and an open-air seawater wave pool with a giant water slide. Go for a hike along the dike or in the Wadden Sea.

Take day trips to the East Frisian Islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights. Or take your children to Werdum to visit the petting zoo, which features many small animals from all over the world. Or take a trip to Neuharlingersiel. Among other attractions in this North Sea spa town, you’ll find the historic fishing harbor with its active shrimp boat fleet and “Platschi,” the fantastic water play area right in the middle of the beach.
