I stayed at the Dorint with a group of students for 10 days. The staff was excellent! The front desk did everything they could to support my students and the staff in the restaurant were also extremely kind. Thank you Dorint, we will be back!

It is a very convenient hotel if you want to go to the Erfurt opera or concert. Room was big and clean. Stuff was nice . Breakfast good. The only thing - our room was above strip club and innSaturday night music and mouse was going all night. We could not sleep. We were on the. 1 st floor. Probably higher up it will not matter

It looks as a 4 star hotel - big hall, looking through lift. But rooms are a bit out fashion. No shows but outdated bath - hard to climb in with a show hose broken. Breakfast nit 4 star level . But good location. Done stuff was nice but one was rude. It is ok to use it but do not a or t it to be a great stay. Ok.

Probably best hotel choice in Erfurt today.
The hotel is a good quality business hotel, staff is friendly and competent. Rooms are quite big, and again standard business hotel lay-out. At this time most facilities in the hotel are unfortunately closed down due to corona. So no fitness, no sauna and no restaurant, which is a shame as especially the sauna (which I have used during previous stays) is very good. Erfurt center (Anger area) is currently under intensive reconstruction (it is messy), so I much prefer the location of Dorint Hotel, close to the Dom, where there currently only are limited road works.

Not really 5 stars but does have parking.
Other than being large enough to host conference groups I am not sure why this is a 5 star hotel. The AC barely functioned and there was no coffee tea service in the room. The king size bed was nice and there was a small fridge.

Overall good, but too warm.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good, as was most of the food I've had from there. The gym was okay, enough to get somewhat of a workout in. The rooms were very warm and the air conditioning was either disabled or non-existent. There are rooms on the outside wall, but I stayed on the inside wall and the windows just open into the lobby area, so there was no way to cool down the room. This was the most disappointing/uncomfortable part of my stay. They could also use a coffee machine in the rooms.

Beautiful modern hotel near everything.
Great location near the cathedral and city center. There's a tram stop across the plaza from the hotel, or parking (12 Euros) if you have a car.

Definitely Recommend
Excellent stay while visiting Erfurt. It’s in a great location and provides great parking in a town where parking isn’t easy to find. We were very pleased with the service and accommodations.

Perfect spot for operas
Came to see the opera Carmen, which while not held in the Theater across the street was very near the cathedral where it was held. Breakfast, staff and dinners were excellent! Look forward to coming back next year.

Great central location
Stayed one night. This hotel is conveniently situated in a great location close to the historic city centre and all its facilities. Car parking available below the building. Appreciated the air conditioning in the bedroom given that the weather conditions were so ridiculously hot outside.

Not exactly a luxury hotel
I booked this hotel thinking that it would be the best hotel in Erfurt, but I was disappointed. It feels dated, even though it is not particularly old, and the bed was quite uncomfortable. If that's the best Erfurt has to offer, then I understand why so many sites suggest that people stay in Weimar, instead.

The good, the bad, & the ugly.
The good: I got upgraded to a suite. Location across from Citadel was superb. Room was very nice. The bad: long walk to city center & train station. The ugly: nothing. Excellent hotel: quiet, good bfast, value.

Room furnishings were basic. No soap or shampoo in bathroom. Two body wash containers were empty - one in the shower, one at the sink. Called housekeeing. Succeeded only in getting body wash bottle attached at sink. To point out the positive, the restaurant service and food were excellent at breakfast and dinner.

Not as nice as we expected.
The Air conditioning in the room seemed broken and the room was quite stuffy all night long, despite setting the thermostat to the lowest setting of 5 degrees. We arrived later in the evening on a Sunday night in Germany, so the hotel restaurant was our best option for dinner. We did room service and both ordered the Dorint burger, which was not very well prepared. There was a thick slab of undercooked bacon on it (still cold to the touch) and the burger is at least 20 cm tall, which makes it unpractical to handle with your hands and we had to resort to eating it with a fork. Unfortunately, the meat seemed to be straight out of the freezer, and was difficult to cut even with a fork. The french fries served with the burger were decent, as were the pancakes on the breakfast buffet the next morning.

Excellent hotel
The hotel is easy to find and offers parking in a well spaced parking garage and immediate access to the hotel lobby. The lobby area is well lighted, offers complimentary water and fruits. Here you can also find several seating areas well spaced out as well as a place for the kids to play. We had a room with a view of the courtyard area (the lobby area), a big bed, a bath tub in the bathroom. Twin sinks. Sitting area in the main room and full-wall windows with double curtains. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm, despite the hotel being host for a convention of some sort during our stay. The breakfast was phenomenal, with 8 different types of honeys, smoked salmon, juices and different sorts of bread. The location of the hotel is "behind the big cathedral", the walk to the Dom Square takes 2 minutes, but you can also hop on one of the trams that go past the hotel. All in all this is an excellent hotel that I would love to stay at again if I visit Erfurth.

Very nice hotel. Much like many large US hotels.
Beautiful atrium in center of hotel. They gave us n end room with windows on two sides of the room. Nice breakfast with many many choices of food displayed beautifully.

A good base for a couple of days in the charming and historic city of Erfurt. Location also good (once you know where to find it). It would appear that the names of both the hotel and the street on which it is located have changed over the years. Not so good if you are working from an old guidebook and out-of-date signs! Can't say anything about food or breakfast supplied by the hotel, as we ate out in the many cafes and inns scattered across the city.

2 night stay near spring festival
Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is right near the cathedral and theatre and is only 100m from a tram stop. The staff were great and the room was spacious. For some reason I was given a wheelchair accessible room which was fine by me. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night time. I would stay here again. One thing to note is that the breakfast is on the pricey side.

Best hotel in Erfurt
I've been to Erfurt many times on business and this is by far the best hotel in town in my opinion. The rooms are well appointed, quiet and very clean. The lobby is spectacular with a nice bar at the back and the spa is pretty nice too.

The room was nice, but after coming from a five star in Hildesheim was a bit disappointed. Nothing complementary, room wasn't ready and the staff didn't really speak English which only was weird when a gas station attendant and tourist store owner spoke very well. Room was okay and the staff were mostly friendly. Really liked the restaurant. Biggest complaint however is last night I was there someone was having some kind of party. Had to listen to music and bass till about 3 in the morning. Very frustrating, but overall not too bad. Not a lot of restaurants in the area, but lots of shopping if you walk a small ways and of course the Erfurt Cathedral is amazing.
