Come for 3 nights and stay the 4th night for free! Just book for 3 and we will add the 4th night for free.\*\*\* Within 15 miles of charming Callicoon on the Delaware sits this totally private, tastefully furnished, renovated home with a fireplace/insert in the living room, a modern kitchen and a dining area with gorgeous river views! Windows provide great natural light and river views from porches and windows. There are three bedrooms, one with a king size bed and two with a queen size bed each, plus a fourth room which owners now use as a TV/reading room with a comfortable day bed. Two full baths and a gorgeous outdoor patio/deck under great shade trees round out the picture. Enjoy the Delaware River at your door step to swim, kayak, or fish. Don't forget to pack your life jackets for river activities. We do not provide boats or any other water apparatus, and recreation is at your own risk. There is a river outfitter in Hancock where you can rent kayaks and canoes. A small convenience store is just a few miles away, and a short drive will take you to either Callicoon or Hancock for shopping, restaurants, library and movie theaters. \*\*\*\*\*We offer a 10% discount if you stay for 7 nights. While we do not want your dog to have to go to a kennel and encourage you to bring the pup along, cleaning the house requires more time. The cleaning fee increases by $30.\*\*\*\*\* Visit the Callicoon Farmer's Market year-round on Sundays, 11-2pm at Callicoon Creek Park and stock up on fresh produce, fruits, breads, pastries, and cheeses. The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the original site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival is just a 30 minute drive away. Or play a round of golf at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon or at the French Woods Golf Course less than a mile away on Route 97\. Take a ride on The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, which is Route 97, as it extends from Hancock to Port Jervis, and visit the Roebling Bridge and other historic places and museums along the way. Or spend an afternoon with a river guide and learn how to fly fish. There are nice hiking opportunities nearby. Get ready for the most striking views of the Delaware River Valley from famous Jensen's Ledges. Great view of the river, plenty of room for the boat and just above Buckingham boat launch. Joe and Rosie are very responsive and located nearby if anything is needed. If you love nature... this is the place for you... got in the river eveyday - paddle board, kayak, just swimming - water is very shallow by the house - so it was so easy to just get in. There was plenty of firewood left for us to use and we had many cozy nights by the fire. Joe was nice enough to even drop off some rice pudding, bread and gnocci for us. The house is clean, cozy and idyllic. Joe had everything stocked for me and my family, and even brought more firewood when we needed it, alone with asking us if we needed anything at the food store! We watched bald eagles fishing in the river daily. The otters came out at night and were a joy to watch. We brought our dogs which really enjoyed the fenced in area to run around and nap on the deck.
