Cross from the mainland to Manasota Key and instantly feel the pace of life slow down. This scenic barrier island stretches for 11 miles (18 kilometres) along Florida’s southwestern coast. Englewood Beach makes up the southern half of the island, part of Charlotte County, while Manasota Beach makes up the northern half, part of Sarasota County.
You won’t find any high-rise buildings, racing highways, luxurious resorts or even traffic lights at Englewood Beach. Immerse yourself in the relaxing atmosphere of shaded bungalows and tropical beaches.

Drive north to Sarasota or south to Fort Myers in about an hour. Reach Tampa to the north and Naples to the south in less than 2 hours.
