About this property
Yellowstone Trail Lodge · Yellowstone National park
If you could still follow the historic Yellowstone Trail to Yellowstone National Park you would pass this modern day western cabin - full of all the amenities you dream of in a vacation home, but only a short 30 minute drive to Yellowstone National Park.
The Yellowstone Trail Lodge is a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home, and only 10 years old. The home is furnished with the finest furniture, new mattresses and every detail and amenity you could imagine. You will find yourself at the end of a rural road (but still very easy to drive to) with uninterrupted views of the Absaroka mountains and the surrounding "Paradise Valley." The minute you step inside and see the deer and antelope grazing in the 4 acres surrounding the property, you know you have found your Montana vacation home. The lower level has a bedroom with a queen bed and nice desk, full bath and washer / dryer closet. The full kitchen with dining area is ideal for cooking meals to eat with breathtaking views or outside on the patio, enjoying the Big Sky air. Stocked with large and small appliances (all new), utensils and serving ware for the entire group. The living room has seating for all, windows with views, and a pull out sofa (queen size) for additional sleeping. The flatscreen smart TV has Direct TV and a very simple stereo system. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a shared full bathroom - the first bedroom has a queen bed, TV, and desk - and of course, more of those amazing views. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and a dresser. Aside from everything in the home being like new, well thought out and comfortable, you cannot imagine a more ideal location for a trip to explore the mountains, rivers, towns and your favorite National Park. The owners of the home manage a hotel in the west and know what it takes to make a guest feel at home. They also have a love for the history and romance of the historic Yellowstone Trail - a historic route that is mere yards from where the home sits. In addition to a sense of place, you will find interesting history and artifacts in the home. The Yellowstone Trail Lodge will quickly become the place you will want to return to year after year with your family and friends.
You can access the home with an electronic keypad on the front door. There is also a backdoor key pad if needed.
We live in Livingston and are available for questions or emergencies. Most info is in the welcome book or sent to you prior to arrival, but please do not hesitate to call us with any questions! We are always happy to help and would always prefer a question rather than any frustration on your part!
You are in a neighborhood, with other homes around, but it's definitely still "rural." You are 15 minutes or less from restaurants, bars, hot springs and groceries.
You will need a car to get around the area. You are an easy and short drive to Gardiner and Yellowstone National Park (to the south) or 10 minutes from Emigrant (to the north) where you can find groceries, gas, restaurants, and entertainment in either. Livingston is 25 minutes to the North of the house. We recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter time. The roads in the neighborhood are plowed in the winter, but its always a good idea in Montana!
There is no garbage service in the area, so guests must take their bagged garbage to a local "green bin" during their stay and before departure.

Beautiful property! Location excellent. Very comfortable and close to everything. Would definitely stay here again. The mountain views are spectacular!
Was looking for a place to stay near the Yellowstone area with some buddies as a final trip before college and found this. The house and view were even better than pictured on VRBO.
Our family came from three different parts of the world to enjoy this lovely home while we explored all that Livingston and Yellowstone had to offer. The process was seamless, the home clean and comfortable (with a well-equipped kitchen), and the view spectacular. Highly recommended.

The house was a wonderful place to stay for our time in Yellowstone! The views were beautiful. The house had everything we needed and more!
Amazing view, quiet stay, and host was very responsive. Would highly recommend! The nearby pine creek trails is a wonderful hike. It does get toasty in the day since there’s no A/C, but the cool evenings were very nice! We had a wonderful stay.
Beautiful and comfortable. Really well laid out and stocked with practical, useful things in the kitchen. Quick responses to anything that came up. And the book of things to do was amazing! Gorgeous view of Emigrant Peak, we have some beautiful pictures! It was quiet and perfect for our trip!
This property was PERFECT for my family and helped make our first trip to Yellowstone, that much more memorable.
A BEAUTIFUL view, beautiful house and perfect location for privacy and relaxation!
This property has the best unobstructed view in Montana. About 30 minutes or less to the north entrance of Yellowstone national park. The house is nicely decorated, comfortable beds and great views from every room
Renting this property was the easiest part of our trip. The lodge was very clean and we felt right at home. Definitely worth renting if your looking at it. Will be renting again.
Perfect location for a cabin away from all the noise of a nearby town but close enough to Yellowstone for a short daily drive down for a family vacation and close enough to Livingston to grab groceries and gas. Perfect size for our family of 5. Loved the outdoor games and the star-gazing at night.

Place is as advertised, very clean and well maintained. It is at the end of a gravel road that is bumpy, so just take your time and it is fine. Plenty of dishes and towels. View on the back deck is amazing. Would definitely stay again.
The property is well managed. It has all items you can think of in the kitchen and throughout the unit. Additionally it is located in a perfect place with amazing views.I highly recommend it

We had a great time
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin had everything we needed, was very clean and had some of the best views we've ever seen. It's not crowded around a bunch of other cabins and was still convenient to the north entrance of Yellowstone (about a half hour drive).
The communication with the property manager was great. I would rent from them again.
