This dog-friendly (max 2) home awaits you and the whole family (kids in fursuits included). There is a $150 per dog per week non-refundable fee charged in addition to the rental amount. Here in this cheerful cottage, you will find your Sunnyside is always UP! On the ground level of this cheerfully decorated home are 2 true king master suites with private baths. The large great room with generous seating is open to the dining area and well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen offers new appliances and all items needed to prepare the meals for a week’s stay. A hall off the dining area leads to a guest room with a queen over queen bunk bed on the left and full bath on the right. As part of the Spinnaker’s Fresh Bed Promise all linens are laundered between guests, even the comforters. At the end of the hall is the ample screened porch with a dining area overlooking the private pool. The paved pool deck offers a dining area and lots of room for lounging in the sun. On the 2nd level of the home is the rec-room with a full size pool table, a card table, a seating area with Queen sleeper sofa and flat screen TV. A full bath is located off a hall area separating the rec-room from the cozy den with a daybed and trundle. The beach access and community pool are located at the corner of Shipwreck Lane and Louise Howard Court. This would be approximately a 10-15 minute walk from Sunnyside Up or an even faster golf cart ride! There is parking for the cart at the beach access. The house is so pretty and unbelievably clean. The pool was used every day and is truly a private location. We enjoyed hearing the bull frogs, birds, and even loved seeing the mega huge North Carolina spider webs! The kitchen is equipped with everything possible and is decorated to perfection. It's a huge plus that it is dog friendly even though we chose not to bring our dog. That is the reason for four stars and not five. The previous renters failed to clean up five doggy deposits, and they were from large dogs. I didn't feel that was fair to me to have to clean up after someone else's dog messes, but also didn't want my grandchildren stepping in it. We would absolutely LOVE to come back. ##### Pamela P. We have enjoyed every second at Sunnyside Up. The owners have gone above and beyond to create a "home away from home" for all who visit. The beds are all super-comfortable and topped with quality, stylish bedding. The walls are covered in delightful, colorful art...we've enjoyed looking at them throughout our stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'd need to stay in and cook, including waffle makers and crock pot! There is a toaster, regular coffee maker, Keurig, and blender as well. The big-screen tv's/cable/blu ray players were a hit with all of us...we watched a few movies together but also enjoyed being able to spread out and watch individually. We spent a few nights upstairs in the rec room playing pool and board games at the round table. The layout of Sunnyside Up was perfect for our family of five. The bedrooms were spread out, giving us all our own space. Bathrooms were nice-sized, private and easily accessible. The pool was wonderful...we used it every day. We also enjoyed sitting under the fan on the screened porch. We were impressed throughout the week by how clean and fresh everything was, and would have never known that it was a pet-friendly home! Very clean and like new. Loved the decor. Nice appliances too. Large enough to fit everyone yet still not so spread out you can't find them. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this house. It was fully equipped with anything you could need in the kitchen. The upstairs space was great and all of the televisions were awesome. The pool, outdoor patio, and screened porch were just right when we had enough of the beach. The location was good also-just a short ride(by golf cart) to the beach or by car to town. We really enjoyed going to the pier and watching the fisherman and watching the sunset. Some of our highlights were visiting the aquarium, kayak tour and a sunset dinner cruise.
