"The Andaz is in the Bymarket area so very convenient to restaurants, the art gallery and the parliament buildings. It’s a very nice hotel! I would definitely stay there again on a return trip to Ottawa!"

"I was delighted with my experience. Staff were available and friendly. I was greeted by an immaculate living area and bathroom with bathrobes, abundant towels and wash clothes. Bare floors throughout is a welcome change from hotel carpeting. There's a quick elevator and plenty of room to hang clothes and belongings as well as a sink, frig, microwave and dishware. It's located in Byward Market near clubs and restaurants. I am moving this to the front of my list of places to stay in Ottawa."

"Truthfully not a bad review as much as a disappointed one. Staff are lovely and the location is perfect but for a luxury hotel it’s outdated and the old world charm overpriced. It smells old and carpeting need replacing, baseboards need repairing and painting etc. Our room lacked usb ports, only one side of the bedside table had a socket so the apnea machine had to go there, rose shampoos and conditioners not unisex enough and felt of cheap quality, only 1 bathrobe and 2 facecloths for 3 occupants, toilet was wobbly, shower not great, bathroom door swollen so it didn’t shut well or quietly. Pool is lovely and hours very accessible but water was too chilly. Valet parking overpriced and takes too long to drop off and pick up vehicle. Check in was very pleasant, as was check out but the desk was very congested and only 2 staff available for 4 monitor desk. There’s a lot that needs improvement and upgrading to justify the price tag."

"The hotel looks nice and clean. Service at the French restaurant was spotty but check in desk staff were nice. Just felt the hotel staff were frazzled even though the hotel wasn’t busy. Otherwise decent experience."
