Stix and Stones Hilltop Cabin is a very private log cabin nestled in the woods on a charming 8.5 acre large, secluded lot. We offer big weekly discounts.

Savor utmost privacy all year long with no neighbors in view. Relieve the stress of life further by watching local wildlife watching by. Relish the best nature has to offer from the veranda from one of the rocking chairs, or dine on the open sided furnished porch with gas grill. Prefer a charcoal grill? There is one located just off the deck. When it gets cold outside, relax in a rocking chair in front of a real wood burning stove. Firewood is provided.
If you have dogs, please click on the {guest >} and add the pet fee. We welcome and love dogs, have one ourselves, they are family. They are allowed to run free. There is also a 1/4 acre fenced area right at the cabin.
There are 2 bolder fire pits for eating on the grounds areas, covered parking area for recreation vehicles, and even an area for horse trailers. Three full bedrooms provide sleeping for up to six adults. Two full baths, washer and dryer are offered for guest laundry. The kitchen is well equipped including refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, electric stove and oven. There is a Smart TV, YouTube, Prime Video, DVD player, ETC fiber, and WIFI, the cabin has central heat and air.
Our little slice of paradise is located in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area of the Chattahoochee National Forrest, only an hour and a half from Atlanta. The surrounding area beckons with fun and adventure all year long. The Benton MacKaye and Appalachian Trail heads are about 12 miles away on Springer Mt. Aska and other trails lead to beautiful waterfalls, swinging bridges and fabulous mountain views. Infinite fishing opportunities await you at stocked and natural streams. Kayaking and tubing are offered on the close by Cartecay and Toccoa rivers, they also provide inexpensive shuttles and take you back to your car. More challenging whitewater rafting is close by. Enjoy biking? Get your mountain bikes ready and explore the trails or spend a day horse back riding.
The quaint little town of Ellijay is about 15 miles away. Downtown Ellijay offers an abundance of antique shops, art galleries, boutiques and fabulous restaurants. Streets buzz in October during the annual Apple Festival, a guests favorite! Most orchards are open year round and offer tours. Hayrides, putt-putt golf and petting zoos are most treasured by our younger guests. Special occasion around the corner? Summit Wedding Farm is just minutes away. The opportunities are endless!
The historic city of Blue Ridge is about 25 miles away from the cabin. There you can board an old fashioned train for an excursion along the Toccoa River. Blue Ridge is famous for its shopping, bars and restaurants. Or simply drive up the winding roads of Northwest GA - it is breathtaking! Everywhere you go you will be greeted by Southern hospitality and charm, many of the locals have a few stories to tell.
We are excited to welcoming you soon at our little slice of heaven and share what we love most. Stix and Stones Hilltop Cabin is quite special and unique. Visit us soon and experience it yourself!

We had a great stay. Very quiet with no one around. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a cabin in the woods that is serene and relaxing. Plenty of amenities, great hot water and comfortable. We rent a cabin each year between Christmas and New Year's. This one was a bit smaller than we're used to, but only slightly. Easy location. The oven is a bit smaller than usual but was fine for our family of four and one guest.Highly recommended, comfortable, and quiet. Would stay again!
We had the best time and so did our pup! I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of having everything you could need & a fully stocked kitchen. We plan to return! Great hosts!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was very quiet and relaxing. This was one of the most well stocked rentals I have ever stayed in, any cookware you need is there, extra bedding, etc. Fantastic place to stay and will definitely be back.
The cabin could not be in a better location. It is just outside of town, but far enough away to get away from the "touristy" style cabin communities. We did many activities around the area including tubing, zip-lining and horse back riding, but the kids just enjoyed being at the property playing in the creek and exploring the woods. We even caught a few fish. The host was super quick communicating when any issue would come up and really went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay.
Absolutely amazing dog friendly home. Quiet secluded area. Home is cozy and has everything you need to cook, relax and play. Perfect for a couple, families and pets. The owner is responsive and very pleasant. This is by far my favorite VRBO experience!
Cabin was great for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. Couldn't have asked for a better way to bring in the new year. Cabin has everything we needed plus some. We want to come back during warmer months to take our kids fishing!
We had an amazing time at the cabin. Quiet, Peaceful week. Property was top notch. I highly recommend staying at this cabin. This property will not disappoint! Thank you Andy and Suzanne for allowing us to experience your slice of heaven.
We really enjoyed our peaceful vacation. The cabin was perfect for our family. The property was just wanted for us. The creek was delightful, lots of fun. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
We love Ellijay, but haven't visited as a family, or with our dogs, so this was the perfect place. The house had everything we needed, the fenced yard was perfect for the dogs, our youngest was grateful for all the games, and I can't even tell you how much we enjoyed we creek area. It was beautiful and just what we needed for a relaxing but fun Spring Break.
Absolutely gorgeous property. So thankful they shared it with us! House has so much character. House also has everything you need plus some. Cannot say enough good things!
Our labradoodles and husband, myself and 32 year old son enjoyed the lovely cabin, solitude and grounds. The nearby stream was great for our pooches, the 1/4 acre fenced dog run was fantastic for them and us:).
We visited nearby towns for wonderful lunches, as well as The Fainting Goat Vineyard. Goats nice, no fainting...wine was great! All in all, a wonderful stay!
Can say enough about this property. So off the charts great. Certainly one of the best cabins I’ve ever stayed in. Nothing was missed. If you are looking for a little R&R in a real quiet location this is it. This will be a repeat spot for us for sure.
We loved our time here! So nice and quiet, property was well maintained and gave our 2 dogs plenty of areas to walk, staying cooler with the shady areas all around the property. The creek was of great excitement for our creek obsessed dog and the trails nearby were great for other dog. We loved being able to drive down to the creek so that they could enjoy a walk on the trail and not have to walk back up in the humidity. Kitchen was well equipped and cozy!
My family and I are 100% satisfied with our stay at this stunning property! Everything was perfect and as advertised..it truly felt like home. My husband and I enjoyed the pet friendly option, and our spoiled pups did, too! Don't question yourself on this one, reserve this gem before it's too late. We LOVE this place and hope to return in the future for more family fun!
The property is the perfect mix of perfect off the beaten path and perfect to all the allure of Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Near Orchards, a perfect stream for swimming the dogs, a mile walk on the gravel road leading to the cabin with hardly ever seeing a vehicle. Perfect in many many ways! And the Host is super nice too! This is our 3rd stay of many to come.
