Custom built mountain house on trout stream with tons of privacy & hot tub.

Riverbend Retreat can be best described as “Done Right.” This home was built in 2023 for the purpose of providing an elevated experience in a relaxed environment for larger families or corporate retreats. The style could be best defined as Rustic Elegance. Every detail has been carefully thought through making your stay a true experience and providing opportunities for you and your guests to make memories you will cherish for a lifetime.

Starting with your arrival, you drive down a curving manicured drive flanked by beautiful woods on each side. As the house reveals itself, you will notice a very large parking area easily accommodating any number of vehicles. It is nestled in the curve of a trout stream starting on the left with several small waterfalls, wrapping deeply around the back of the property before returning and passing by the right side of the house. You will enjoy access to more than 2000 feet of stream for fishing, playing, or just relaxing while listening to the water flow over the rocks. There is also a large firepit and seating area for fun evenings with family or friends. The property offers more than two acres of grass and wooded areas to enjoy outside. Additionally, the view beyond the stream includes endless acres of woodlands.

As you enter the front door you will be welcomed into an impressive but relaxed environment with all the walls and ceilings carefully crafted from rotary sawn lumber to the natural trees that support the structure. Most of the wood used throughout the interior of the home was milled locally. Immediately to your right is a mudroom to drop and store everything you need for your adventures during your stay. Beyond the mudroom provides access to a modern laundry room.. Directly in front of you the space opens to a two-story great room with a hand laid natural stone wood burning fireplace reaching all the way to the ceiling. The kitchen is open to the great room with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and plenty of workspace to prepare anything from a gourmet dinner to a quick sandwich. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and cookware you could want. There is plenty of pantry storage and cabinets. Between these rooms is an oversized barnwood dining table with comfortable seating for 10. The kitchen, dining, and great room combine to make one large gathering space for everyone to enjoy.

Just outside on this level is a large screen porch with an oversized hickory dining table with seating for 10 or more. The porch has handcrafted Amish rockers that are incredibly comfortable for hours of relaxing or talking. Back inside, the bedroom on this floor is furnished with handmade aspen log furniture. It has a walk-in closet and private covered deck that has excellent views of the waterfalls on the left side of the house. This floor has an oversized marble shower with the finest appointments.

The intention was to create a uniquely rustic & relaxed home with spa-like luxury in the bathrooms. All the bathrooms in this house are nothing short of a 5 STAR luxury hotel fitted with marble or handcrafted porcelain tiles, quartz countertops, and high-end appointed fixtures.

Heading downstairs you will find another great hangout full of fun. The first area you see includes seating for a theater area with an 80” flat screen TV and sound system. Directly behind that is a pool table with plenty of tables and drink/food ledges to enjoy hanging out and playing. Connected to both spaces is a small bar equipped with a built-in trash can and microwave. It is a great place to serve up all the drinks and snacks for movie, pool, or game nights. Just outside on this level is a covered patio that is home to a luxury seven-person hot tub with powerful massaging motors. There is also more seating on the patio with locally crafted Adirondack chairs. PLAYGOUND for the kids.Back inside on this floor is another full bathroom and bedroom. The bedroom has a large walk-in closet and is furnished with handmade aspen log furniture. It has a wonderful view of the backyard & woods.

During construction of the home, sound deadening materials were placed inside the bedroom walls to create a more comfortable and quieter space.

Heading back upstairs to the second floor you will find two more bedrooms and one bunk room. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and is furnished with handmade aspen log furniture. It also has a private covered deck with great views of the waterfalls and stream. The master bathroom is luxury at its finest with a large marble tile shower, double vanity, and private toilet room.

Leaving the master suite and heading down the open balcony hallway you will see the Bunk Room on the right. This is the room EVERY kid will enjoy. The room has two handmade hickory bunk beds on each side that are full over full. Each bunk has its own light and charging station for technology. Knowing kids are usually in the bunk room, we purposely designed it to be close to the parents bedrooms on the second floor. There is even a sitting area just outside the bunk room with a dimmable light and oversized leather chair if you need to hang out until everyone is asleep.

Proceeding down the hall you arrive at the final bedroom. This room has a wonderful view of the wooded backyard and stream on the right side of the house. It also has a walk-in closet and is furnished with authentic handcrafted hickory log furniture.

At the end of the hall is the final bathroom. This bathroom will not disappoint, with luxury furnishings. It is also equipped with a private toilet room and enough space for several people to get ready, if necessary.

Firewood provided seasonally. Free Wifi. No pets allowed, kids under 12 free. The cabin can host 16 based on the bunk room sleeping 8 younger people.

This cabin is right next door to our other two cabins (VRBO#1205551 and #233335). This is a great way to get together for a family reunion or gathering of friends by renting both or all 3 cabins. Our 4th cabin is about 10 mins away. It’s VRBO #956322. Check it out too.

Spring break fun
Two families of 5 for a fun stay. Great setting. Home well appointed. Clean. Lots of space. Plenty to do in the area. Only recommendation is to add yard games like corn hole and more pot holders. Would stay again!

An Amazing Cabin Stay
My family have been on several cabin trips between Georgia and Tennessee. Every cabin we select has been a different one as we enjoy exploring the uniqueness of different cabins and areas. With that being said, We felt collectively that this has been the best cabin and property we have ever stayed at. The cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The inside of the cabin was roomy, comfortable and felt like home. The grounds were absolutely beautiful full of the awe of nature, the sound of tranquility and we felt very safe. The flood lights in the back provided excellent visibility at night. All the rooms' linens were clean and soft, the beds were comfortable, and we absolutely loved that all the rooms had quality blinds and black out curtains. we had a lot of fun playing out side and exploring nature. The creek was a lot of fun for the kids, but the only thing that was missing, was trout. There were none in the stream and when we took a wonderful hike into Blackberry Mountain, we found none there either. Everything exceeded our expectations otherwise. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience.

Perfect Family vacation home!
We had a wonderful time! The home was so clean upon arrival and we loved how the decor and style fit the mountains. The location was wonderful. It was secluded but still only 10 minutes to downtown. The yard was beautiful! The creek surrounded the home with a gorgeous backyard for the kids to play. This home has everything you need with so many amenities! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Amazing property
The piece of property itself is absolutely amazing with the creek wrapping all the way around. We are looking forward to coming back in the summertime to really get the full experience of it! The house was great! The layout was awesome for our group of 9. The beds were really comfy and the kids all enjoyed the bunk room. The only negatives i can say are minor cleaning and the house description states there are utensils/dishes for children, we ended up having to buy some when we arrived. But we will be back for sure!
