    Red Maple Cabin is perfect for couples, families, girls' weekends, or a relaxing mountain getaway. With 3 bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. Nestled in the gated Walnut Mountain community, this peaceful mountain retreat offers hiking trails, four private lakes, a seasonal pool, tennis courts, and beautiful wooded surroundings.

    Sip your morning coffee from one of 3 decks while listening to the mountain stream and watching deer walk by. Later relax in the hot tub or around the fire pit beneath the stars after a day exploring Ellijay. (Just 10 minutes to downtown Ellijay and 23 minutes to Blue Ridge).

    As you arrive at the cabin you are greeted by the front deck with several inviting rocking chairs. Inside are wood walls and wood floors for that true cabin experience.

    One of our favorite things about Red Maple Cabin is the peaceful setting. At night the stars are incredible, and during the day you'll often spot squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and deer right from the deck.

    The main level features the living room with a high vaulted ceiling, a cozy fireplace, two queen bedrooms, a full bath, and well-equipped kitchen. Off the kitchen is the second deck running the entire length of the cabin with a plumbed gas grill and perfect views.

    The upper/loft main bedroom features a king-size bed, private full bathroom, reading nook, and double doors opening to the private screened deck.

    Downstairs (basement) is a large game room with a Smart TV, sitting area, a regulation size cornhole set, game table, and lots of games.

    Outdoors, the back yard features a wood-burning fire pit for enjoying great conversations on a chilly night. Blankets are provided too.

    Lake Dakwa is just a 5-minute walk away for fishing, kayaking, and hiking.

    The private king suite is located upstairs while two queen bedrooms are on the main level.

Cabin was clean, spacious, and quiet. All of the furniture and the king bed were comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor seating. We walked the community grounds and hiked a few of the trails around two of the lakes. The only bad thing was we couldn't use the fire pit but that was due to nature and the red flag warnings, so out of our control. Dan is an excellent host and great with communication and ideas for exploring the area. We'll be back.

Communication with the host and the check in process were all very easy. The cabin is about a 10 min drive to downtown Elijay. We loved the location and the cabin itself was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. I would recommend this cabin for a stay in beautiful Elijay.

Fantastic stay

Although technically in a gated community, it felt like a secluded cabin in the woods, rustic and beautifully maintained and appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the easily-accessible hikes.

Great cabin, great location

The cabin was very clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for holiday weekend stay. The owner of the property was very attentive, the checkin and checkout was easy. The amenities were all in great working order and we made memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend this cabin!

Great Getaway!

Red Maple Cabin was the perfect place to spend a few days. The property was super clean and had many amenities we enjoyed like the hot tub, fire pit, and arcade game! The location was great; close to orchards, the Cartecay river and downtown Ellijay. Dan was easy to communicate with and replied very quickly.

Great Cabin

Excellent communication with owner. Cabin was very clean, very comfy, great decor, more games than you can imagine, well stocked with everything down to blankets for use at the fire pit. Owner provided information on all the wineries, hiking trails, restaurants and things to do. So lucky to have found this wonderful dog friendly cabin.

Perfect getaway

The cabin was awesome. Plenty of room and very clean. If the cabin didn’t have it, then you didn’t need it. Granddaughter is already asking can we come back next year. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Coming back to Ellijay

My spouse and I have stayed at this house a few times and always enjoy it. It's a peaceful cabin to hang out and read. It's close to Ellijay and some great hiking. And we love the screened-in porch (where you can often listen and watch as thunderstorms roll through the forest) and the hot tub. We'll be back again for sure.

Nice Cabin Getaway

Very nice cabin, all of the little things were provided..dishes, pans, condiments, etc. Rooms were very comfortable. The game room downstairs was nice but a little too chilly to enjoy during our visit. Firepits and hot tub were very relaxing,...providing hottub towels and blankets for the firepits was a nice touch. Great location to Ellijay and wineries. Very responsive host. Definitely would recommend and we will keep this saved for our next mountain visit.

Absolutely amazing cabin with phenomenal views. Waking up to wild turkeys in the back yard was amazing. Enjoyed the cold nights relaxing in the hot tub. Then coming inside and having plenty of entertainment to keep us busy. Tons of games and an arcade as well. And plenty of amazing food and shopping close by. Would definitely recommend this cabin. And would love to book it again in the future.

Nice Weekend Getaway

This cabin was perfect for a quick weekend getaway for my husband and me. The cabin was on a nice paved road, close to downtown Ellijay, and Dan was super responsive to everything and anything we needed. There was a cute hiking trail around a lake just around the corner - perfect way to start the day. And the cabin has tons of fun games, a nice hot tub, had cute Christmas decorations, and had very clear notes on everything we needed for the cabin and for the nearby town (shopping, restaurants, things to do, etc). Would highly recommend! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us, Dan!!

Short getaway

My girlfriend of almost two years lost her son in a car accident in 2021. The holidays are always tough for her. We try to stay busy, so we decided to take a trip to Ellijay. The entire experience was wonderful. The cabin was even better than the listing. We enjoyed site seeing and shopping in Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Dan was super nice and told us things to enjoy. I highly recommend his cabin.

Weekend Mountain Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Red Maple Cabin. It was exactly as described and well-maintained. Very thoughtful touches abound like cozy bathroom rugs, plenty of towels, stocked kitchen, games galore, labeled switches among other amenities. These things may seem trivial but they’re super helpful. It was chilly (and rainy) the weekend we were there making the evenings cozy while cuddled up on the sofa wrapped in blankets! We explored historic downtown Ellijay, local wineries, and hiking….all within a 30-minute drive of the cabin. Communication with the owner was easy, and he was super responsive. Highly recommend for a couple or family and we particularly enjoyed being able to bring our dog.
