The cabin itself is just adorable, a totally transformed renovation and the setting is truly a nature lovers paradise! The tumbling waters of Bear Creek splashes through a lush forest just west of Ellijay. This creek is one of the most beautiful creek valleys in the state, and for this reason, it's equally popular among hikers, trail runners and mountain bikers. With abundant wildflowers, blankets of soft green moss, and a visit to the Gennett Poplar tree (the second largest tree in Georgia) the Bear Creek Trail has long been one of the favorite hikes in North Georgia. The trail climbs and splits in a junction with the Pinhoti Trail. If fishing is what excites you, join others that have spent hours without disappointment, fishing this creek for brown and rainbow trout. And all of this is just footsteps from the cabin! Enjoy the spectacular fire pit patio right at the waters edge, roasting marshmallows or maybe just relaxing in the hammock as the sounds of the creek and nature lull you into a blissful sleep. Although you most likely won't spend a lot of time inside the cabin, if you do, you won't be disappointed there either! As mentioned, everything about the cabin has been renovated and everything is brand new. And although you may have spotty cell phone reception in this area, you will have fiber so internet won't be an issue, so bring the laptop if you feel the need. And for those times that the power goes out (it does happen in the mountains), no worries, a full house generator will keep you happy and comfortable regardless of the weather! I would just like to say that this place met my expectations by far! It was just me my husband and two kids 9 & 6 yrs old. It was so astonishingly beautiful and modern. All appliances you could tell were brand new! The cleanliness was top notch. The bedding smelled so clean and fresh unlike any hotel sheets which just smell like bleach. The bathrooms even had cleaning products if you wanted to use if you wanted to be extra precocious. Every room has a smart tv with cable, Netflix, prime TV, etc. Ac/heater worked marvelously. This house seemed to be remodeled recently with beautiful decor which made you feel at home. The backyard is very serene and quiet. With the sounds of the water running through the creek. So relaxing! There was even a gorgeous horse on property! This road isn’t private so please park to the side when coming so you don’t disturb the other residents that live up the road. I love that there was a very close proximity to restaurants, shops, and stores about 15-20 mins. We met the owners by accident on the day we were leaving, they were feeding their horse.
