We appreciated the clean and new bedding. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, and towels. The kitchen even had basic cooking oil and spices/seasonings to share. The washer and dryer were available with detergent. The outdoor areas had comfortable seating. There was plenty of room and counter space. I appreciated the option of ceiling fans, but I think we needed new batteries because I couldn’t get two of them to work. And I wish the living room seating had another comfy chair. The owners clearly thought through details to provide a comfortable mountain retreat space. It is secluded and quiet.
When they advertise that they recommend a 4x4 they aren't kidding. We love off roading and have a Razor at home. But the roads leading up the the cabin are ridiculous and its sooo far back and we were in a Jeep Renegade. We didn’t stay at all, the heat was off and it was 48 degrees in the cabin, 35 outside. Once we found the gas heater on the wall downstairs we realized that was the only one for the entire cabin. The staircase going upstairs is so steep and has no hand rail at all on the right. I do not recommend any children to stay there. We only got refunded part of our money waiting on the rest.
Kelly and her husband were responsive from the moment we booked to the moment we left the cabin. It was cozy, had plenty of space, had nice decoration, and we felt that we didn't even want to be outside. The kitchen, living room and porch were huge! How nice to have room for my kids to run around. We read our bibles at the table while they played in other areas. The bathroom was also very spacious & stocked with all things we needed. Beds were comfy and having the laundry room is always a plus. Wifi was also great! Fast for being in the mountains. :) Speaking of, the area was absolutely beautiful. What a glorious way to wake up and admire God's creation. Lastly, the roads were a bit rugged, but if you have a larger car (not a sedan), you will be fine driving up. Just dont drive slow so you dont get stuck in the parts with pot holes... Please disregard the first review! That is highly inaccurate. I personally felt it was just fine. The preferable arrival would be daytime so that you could see driving up - but nonetheless, it was a great stay and drive in to the cabin. All was as expected and I will definitely return. Thank you guys for your detail and attention to everything.
