Birthday get away

We came to Elkins for the train ride. It was amazing, we seen waterfalls and history of the town. We ate at Smoke on the Water-excellent restaurant!! The room we stayed in was clean. The property manager was available for questions prior and during our visit.

This business is great! we will definitely be back! amazing staff, Shirley, Tim and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing, went above and beyond for us, and we greatly enjoyed seeing their smiling faces while they were on the property. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our 4-month stay here! very comfortable beds, quiet and calm environment, very relaxing, and all around an excellent place!

Nice spot near Elkins

The place is an older "inn style" place. Don't expect extravagant, but it is kept nice and the hosts were very responsive to any messages I sent. The big perk for us was the NO UPCHARGE on pets. The view of the river is awesome and it is off a "main" road. We felt comfortable and safe walking our dogs down the road that this place is located on. It is also really close to the main road and that is really convenient for getting to and from Elkins, Stuarts park, etc. The toilet was having an issue when we were their and their maintenance person had it fixed that day while we were out and about doing our thing. This is a lodge of about about 8 rooms on 2 floors and not a single cabin. Be mindful of that. My family and I come in to Elkins every Oct for a family event and I've already reached out to the host about us possibly getting multiple rooms for us that weekend next year. We would definitely stay here again.
