"Everything was really great. Complaints are the pool was constantly full of kids and difficult to enjoy but I have kids and totally understand so it's not a deal breaker for me. Room was well maintained except there was garbage and gum hiden in the top of the couch and missed by housekeeping. Other than that everything was fantastic. Room was clean, and maintained will we were out. The food was great, drinks were great. Seating outside was nice. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. In all I would recommend Double tree to friends and family."

"You cannot beat the location of this hotel if you plan to walk to all of the downtown attractions! It was convenient for us to have a kitchen so we could save a little money on food and cook for ourselves (great Farm Boy grocery store only a couple of blocks away). The rooms are outdated, but clean."

"The king-size mattress was wonderfully comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. Lots of towels etc. In bathroom. It was great to be able to take short walks to see everything around downtown including Parliament Hill boat cruises locks changing of the guards ceremony. Breakfast was sufficient but no eggs which we would have loved to have. Coffee was delicious. Room was very quiet as well. Staff polite. We will stay again."

"We had a great stay for two nights to attend a football game in the city and celebrate a birthday. The location is convenient to the Byward Market, Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal walkway and lots of retail and restaurants. Yes, there is noise from the bars in the market at night; that’s true of any property that is this close to those amenities. Our room was immaculate, the linens were great and the staff were really friendly. The only thing I would change is the provided toiletries. They are very, very strongly scented with a heavy, masculine fragrance. We will happily return next trip."
