This area is very walkable, making it easy to explore on foot. For couples, the Habous Quarter, also known as the New Medina, offers a distinctive experience. This area was built in the 1930s and blends traditional Moroccan design with French historic influences. It's known for its organised souks (markets) selling crafts, spices, and clothing, and its many traditional cafes. The best time to visit El Khemis is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months when the weather is most pleasant.During these periods, you'll experience mild temperatures, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, with less humidity than the summer and less chance of rain than the winter. The weather is suitable for children to enjoy outdoor activities without becoming overheated, and the beaches are still enjoyable for a relaxed afternoon.
