Excellent hotel in nice location, close to the bus terminal. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes around.
Service is exceptionally good. You could see Fitzroy from rooms on backside.
Breakfast is ok. No eating in the room.
On a clear day the view is spectacular. Shared space is updated, clean, and cozy. They have a wood burning traditional fireplace that makes the space welcoming. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but a little small.
The staff was very polite and were always there to help. Rooms were very clean and tidy.

Quaint clean lodging with friendly staff and standard Argentine buffet. Rooms are aged with thin walls. We heard everything from room next door, common area and front courtyard. Beware if you're a light sleeper. Conveniently located to main part of town.

Walking distance to bus station and old part of town

This is a fine place for a night or two in El Chaltén, but it is quite basic and not great value. The breakfast is perfunctory at best, and the facilities in general have seen much better days. The staff were great.
Very charming and quiet rustic hotel with amazingly friendly staff! Room was warm and bright. Ample parking. Prime location. Breakfast included hot milk which made the drinks more delicious.

Worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. Sheet did not stay in, which I noticed on other bunks. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure was great!!

Staff was friendly and the place is cute. The beds were comfy. It’s more like a bed and breakfast. We planned an early start for a day hike and needed to pack some lunch for the trails. There was no fridge in the room and they didn’t offer any place for guest storage. Luckily we rented a car and it was cold overnight, so we kept our lunch in the car outside.
My room had multiple maintenance and technical issues:
1. No outlet available to charge my phone (had to improvise)
2. The heater in my room would shut off constantly (made for some very cold nights)
3. The toilet's "flush" botton would constantly disconnect. There is only one maintenance worker who works during the day who would come fix it every time it happened but if it happened during the night I were to be left with my "production" until the next available time he were to come. Absolutely disgusting!
The only star goes to the kind and helpful women in the reception and to the decent, modest breakfast.
Very cute hotel with very easy access from the bus station in el Chalten. Close to several restaurants and amenities and with a very attentive and personal touch from the staff.
Nice little room a bit to renovate but with a charming touch. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much! Wonderful staff and ambience! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We had a tour that missed picking us up and they called them and made alternate arrangements.
Rooms were good size and very clean. Would stay here again!
Nice hotel in an amazing town. Walk right out the door and experience everything El Chalten has to offer. Rooms are small, but you won't be staying in them much anyways. El Chalten is all about the outdoors.
Staff amazing and helpful, clean, comfortable, quiet.
Room’s curtains need to be blackout to block bright street light.
Wonderful view of El Chalten peaks mountain from back window room.
Surprisingly comfortable. Not a lot of luxuries but we didn’t miss them. Super friendly staff.

We do not recommend this place.
It has a lot of pros: The place is cute and extremely clean. The common rooms are really nice. The breakfast is good. The staff in the morning shift is extremely nice.
Some minor nuisances to keep in mind is that the WiFi was very weak (but the staff gave us another option after we asked), and that there are curfew times after and before which you cannot exit the hotel unless you previously inform staff.
But the worst part is that we had a very difficult experience with the heating system, the evening staff and the owner. On our first night the heating failed. What I mean with that is that while it could turn on, after a bit it would just turn off on its own. It is cold and windy in Patagonia and after having long hikes, you truly need warmth. I woke up in the middle of the night and got really cold. I fell sick and had to miss my hike the following day, which is sad since we had little time in el chalten. This happened again the second evening. Knowing this might be a problem, we called the staff to help. The heating turned on and off at least 4 times. What was even more frustrating is how the staff and the owner treated us. No appropriate solutions were given to us. No change of room, no electric heating to plug in, etc…we got one blanket more only because we asked. So we slept with sweaters, hats and scarves on. The evening staff said that “this had never happened” which we later discovered was a lie as we reread all reviews. The owner

Very Average
The bed was comfortable and the place was warm.
The breakfast was very basic and bland. We had a view of bins out the window. The room door was loose so banged all night due to strong winds. The staff demand that you give your key to reception whenever you leave the building, but then hang the keys behind the reception (which is sometimes unattended) which didn´t feel very secure. There are a lot of rules considering it is a hotel for customers and not a school for children. The most expensive place we stayed in in Patagonia and not worth it compared to other properties.
During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the staff to be friendly and eager to help. Even so, the facilities were another story. I found a defective toilet, the sink was broken and moved from side to side and could not stand, and a very uncomfortable bathroom. The heater didn't turn on and the wifi didn't stay connected. For what I paid I would have expected to have a better room. I wouldn't recommend it.
