El Cardonal Golf Course

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the pool service is slow, the staff is wonderful and very nice, the resort is very clean, and the food is excellent. Great location with massages on the beach (Medano Massage $59 for 60 mins or $69 for 90), next to Medano beach (swimming beach), and The Office (excellent food and killer location). I’ve been going to Cabo for 23 years and stayed at lots of resorts. My wife and I stayed here last year for her bday and came back again. It’s a chill resort, not crowded, easy to get pool seating, etc. Very relaxing which is why we stayed there. There are plenty of other resorts to choose if you want more action. I recommend the resort, just keep in mind the pool service is slow (but servers are friendly). And, I’m an excellent tipper so that was not the issue :)

You get what you pay for. Grounds were nice, looks pretty. Service was great, friendly staff, big pouring bartenders, good maids. Food was not good. Room is clean, we got basic king, not the best ocean view but they let us change to the 4th floor from the 1st. The all inclusive is a cool novelty or essential for drinking literally 24/7. For pueblo bonito you get access to the other resorts they own for dinners which is neat. The highlight for us was finding out they do conservation work on the beach they are a part of, and that conservation work is actually helping the sea turtles that lay eggs on their beach. In October they incubate and release thousands of baby turtles. It was the coolest thing watching the tiny turtles get to the ocean. Some things I did not like, I was not a fan of the surrounding area, the marina is the tourist area and it's chaotic and everyone just hassles and upsells you triple, so haggle well. The hotel doesn't make it easy to get around, no ubers, the cabs over charge it's a bit annoying to get into town. Airport ride was 120$. The pool and hot tub were inconsistently heated. The shower was kinda bad. You cannot swim in the beach area. Overall I'd say the hotel was a C to C-. Personally, I would not go back as the area was bad and the resort was fine, but I can see someone who would enjoy the all inclusive resort life more than myself.
