Shower / WC and kitchen. The Non smoking apartment offers space to stay for 3 persons. A bedroom with double bed and a sofa bed (free standing in the hallway) are available. On this sofa bed, a child can also stay after consultation. The living room is equipped with a 2-piece sofa, 1 armchair, 1 stool and a TV and DVD player. In the dining area is a sofa for min. 4 people. Weigelshofen (the gateway to Franconian Switzerland) is a nice starting point for hikes, trips to many attractions such as the old town of Forchheim (the most beautiful Advent calendar in the world, the end of July the Annafest), Bamberg with its Kleinvenedig, Streitberg with castle, Gößweinstein, Pottenstein ( with many attractions for children), as well as Erlangen and Nuremberg can be reached within 30 to 40 minutes. The nearby glider Feuerstein is a welcome destination to possibly also experience a scenic flight over the Franconian Switzerland. The house is located in a small village, therefore the accommodation is suitable for people who are looking for peace and relaxation. But families who want to enjoy holidays in or around Franconian Switzerland are also welcome. Harvest time can be watched or helped when the Williams Christ pear is harvested. At the appropriate time, it is also possible to look over the son's shoulder while distilling schnapps. A garden house for min. 8 people can be used for barbecues or just to relax after a busy day. Wir haben eine herrliche Woche in der Fränkischen Schweiz verbracht und den Aufenthalt in der Wohnung sehr genossen! Es fehlt dort an nichts, die Beschreibung passt exakt - und wenn doch eine Kleinigkeit benötigt wurde, half die Vermieterin umgehend aus. Wir wurden ausgenommen freundlich willkommen geheißen mit frischem Obst aus dem Garten, einem leckeren Kuchen und einer kleinen Spirituose. Die Vermieterin ist sehr daran interessiert, dass es ihren Gästen gut (er)geht - gleichermaßen persönlich zugewandt wie auch zurückhaltend. Wie schon einige Rezensenten zuvor bemerkt haben, ist die Wohnung auch im (Hoch-)Sommer bei hohen Temperaturen nicht zu heiß, die zur Verfügung stehenden Ventilatoren haben wir nicht benötigt. Die Lage in Weigelshofen ist ideal für viele Ausflüge in die nähere und mittlere Umgebung, ohne Auto jedoch wäre es vermutlich nicht so praktisch. Insgesamt eine perfekte Woche - das Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis phänomenal. Wir kommen sehr gerne einmal wieder (vielleicht auch für ein paar Nächte mehr) und nutzen dann auch ausgiebig den großen Garten, das schöne Gartenhäuschen und die Grill-Möglichkeit - für all das blieb in dieser reichhaltigen Woche leider kaum Zeit... Hier hat man als Paar, aber auch mit Kindern genug Platz. Die Küche läd mit ihrer Eckbank zum Aufenthalt ein. Alle unsere Wanderungen haben wir dort geplant. Das Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer ebenfalls mit viel extra Platz, mehrere Couchen und Sesseln sorgen dafür, dass man sich gefühlt überall in der Wohnung hinsetzen und entspannen kann. Die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Zum Abschied gab es einen kleinen Verpflegungs-Gruß für die Heimreise. Vielen lieben Dank nochmal, wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen! Sehr genossen haben wir den überdachten Freisitz am Gartenhaus, das in einem großen Garten steht. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist vollständig und zweckmäßig. An heißen Tagen wird es unter dem Dach wahrscheinlich recht warm - aber die Wohnung lässt sich gut lüften und Ventilatoren sind in jedem (Schlaf-)Zimmer vorhanden. Über kleine Gaben aus Obst- und Gemüsegarten haben wir uns sehr gefreut - wie auch über den Kuchen zur Begrüßung. Weigelshofen hat selbst keinen Lebensmittelladen oder Bäcker, aber eine Brauerei mit Gasthof und Biergarten, wo man gut sitzen und essen kann. ##### Hansjörg F. Die Lage ist perfekt für schöne Ausflüge in die Fränkische Schweiz zum Wandern oder für einen Ausflug in die Weltkulturerbe Stadt Bamberg. Sehr geräumige Wohnung und äußerst nette Gastgeberin, die uns mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen und diversen Schnaps- und Likörproben verwöhnt hat. Großzügig in der Aufteilung der Schlafmöglichkeiten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung liegt günstig zwischen den Städten Bamberg und Nürnberg.
