It is only a 10 minute walk from Waverley Rail Station and Princes Street. There are literally LOADS of shops, markets, cafes, pubs, and British and ethnic restaurants within a few minutes walk in any direction. A large Tesco supermarket is only a 5 minute walk down the hill. The flat is gorgeous! Beautiful wooden floors and creative area rugs, full of art show posters and beautiful artwork in every room (even the bathrooms!), two gorgeous fireplaces, beautiful comfortable beds with thick down duvets, fashionable and comfy furniture, a fully stocked kitchen with every appliance you could imagine. The kitchen also was stocked with the basics - tea, coffee, condiments, and even fresh milk for our arrival. When we had occasion to ask the owner for something, Tom responded immediately and delivered the requested items within the hour. You can tell Tom loves literature and the arts as the ethos of the flat is resplendent with the love of beauty and hundreds of books to get lost in. It was like being a guest in someone's home, but with the privacy to do whatever you wanted in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. Tom is also a bit of a Scottish celebrity in the true crime field, and you should definitely ask him about it! I loved every minute of our 7 night stay in this absolute gem of a flat. ##### Diane B.
