A one-bedroom self-catering apartment on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, in the middle of the Old Town. It’s on the second floor of a traditional tenement in Bailie Fyfe’s Close, High Street, and sleeps two, or up to four with the sofa bed and a camp bed.

If you want accommodation right on the Royal Mile, you can’t be much closer. Pubs, cafés and restaurants are a minute’s walk away. Edinburgh Castle, St Giles’ Cathedral, The Real Mary King’s Close, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament are all along the same street. Waverley Station, the open-top tour buses and the shops on Princes Street are within easy walking distance.

* Inside the apartment *

The living room and kitchen share one bright space. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, coffee machine and washing machine, and the lounge has TV with Freeview, a DVD player and free Wi-Fi. The bedroom has a double bed, and the shower room is off the hall. The lounge sofa bed sleeps one more guest, and a single camp bed is available for a fourth. Behind the building there’s a shared patio with views north across the city.

* Families *

A travel cot and high chair are available. Please bring your own bedding for the cot.

* Around the Old Town *

There’s a small convenience store at the top of St Mary’s Street, and another a short walk up the Royal Mile. The nearest public car park is the NCP on Holyrood Road, about 400 m away. Further afield, the Royal Yacht Britannia is moored at Ocean Terminal in Leith. St Andrews, Loch Ness and the Highlands make good day trips.

* Good to know *

The Royal Mile is lively, especially at weekends and during the Festival, so expect some street noise at night. The apartment is up an internal staircase, and there’s no lift.

* Notes *

- Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 11am. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before.
- A £200 refundable damage deposit is due 7 days before arrival and refunded after departure.
- If you’ve booked for two guests and want the sofa bed made up, or for three and want both the sofa bed and camp bed, there’s an extra charge.
- Strictly non-smoking. No hen, stag or party groups. At least one guest must be over 25.
- We don’t provide hypoallergenic bedding.

Pubs, clubs, pavement cafes and restaurants are all within one minute walk in this historic city. The Royal Mile is situated at the heart of Edinburgh's major sights such as Edinburgh Castle, Mary King's Close, St. Giles Cathedral, Holyrood Palace, The Witchery, Scottish Parliament Building and Scotland's major galleries and museums including the Whisky Heritage museum. It is also within easy walking distance from Edinburgh's principle shopping area, Princes Street.
