Communication was great and appreciated the very detailed instructions. I really liked the location. Only suggestions would be to give it a fresh lick of paint, new coffee table, and some glasses for drinking.

The entry through the courtyard was filled with leaves and a dumpster. It wasn’t pleasant having to walk through this area at least twice a day.
Instructions for entering and use of the apartment were extremely thorough.

The location of this property is amazing! Right on the Royal Mile, but tucked back in a close that feels private and cozy. Such a convenience to have a kitchen and a washing machine during our holiday. We found the space to be clean and comfortable for our trip. Convenient to everything and extremely walkable. We rented a car for our entire trip around Scotland, but wished we did not have it for the time we were in Edinburgh. It’s just not needed and paying for parking felt wasteful. Definitely recommend this property. Our only recommendation for improvement is that it would have been nice if the backyard was accessible to use the clothesline for drying.

Beautiful apartment at an excellent location
This apartment is located on Canongate and the Panmure Close. You can't beat the location for the reasons below:
1. Adam Smith lived next door (now a fully renovated business school named after him) during his last years. He was buried next door in the Canongate Kirk. Like capitalism or not, he was an intellectual giant and we paid a visit to his burial place.
2. Aside from Adam Smith, the Canongate Kirk graveyard itself is beautiful and worth a visit. I saw many local residents walking their dogs there.
3. Between the Canongate Kirk and the apartment lies the Dunbar's Close Garden, which was carefully designed to showcase historical gardening. It is free to visit.
4. There are two nice little restaurants within 50 meters of the apartment: Clarinda's Tearoom and Oink Canongate.
5. The apartment is 5-minute walk away from the Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. In other words, it is relatively far away from the Edinburgh Castle, which I think is a plus because it is less noisy here. Unlike the Edinburgh Castle which requires a ticket, the Scottish Parliament is free to visit Monday-Saturday. There is a cafe inside so you can actually eat there if you don't want to wait for a table at the Clarinda's Tearoom or the Oink.
6. It's close to Arthur's Seat and the Salisbury Crags, which I highly recommend. I climbed twice.
I want to write more, but running out of words limit, so I'll just say the apartment itself was perfect for my family of four (with two kids).

House was easily located and clean upon arrival. Location was fabulous for sightseeing and shopping. We managed to trip a circuit breaker and owners were prompt to respond and all was made well. Communication before we even arrived was very good with all my questions answered and my trepidation put to rest. I'm a born worry-wart. Would recommend this property whole heartedly. 😃

Great Location to see Edinburgh
We had a good time at Cadell house. The owners were excellent communicators and helped with any questions we had immediately. The house is in a superb location - easy walking distance to all major sites in Edinburgh. Just far enough away as not to be too noisy. The apartment is large for a city flat and four of us were comfortable there.

Love the location on Royal Mile. Restaurants, shops, groceries,museums were all within walking distance.
First class central location and support from the owner. Most comprehensive information pack that I’ve ever had.
Local parking had to be at the station car park, but there you go.
Lovely, comfortable, clean apartment with all mod cons & the owners were so kind & helpful. Easy to get to from train station & perfectly placed for all attractions, dining options (quieter location but not far from everything). The only suggestion I would make would be for a dressing table with mirror & sockets for drying your hair etc. There was a big difference between the lovely front of the appt view & the back, communal areas etc it didn't bother us but looked slightly different to what we expected on arrival
Overall it was absolutely lovely!
Best location in an historic house, on the Royal Mile, within minutes walking distance to Old Town attractions, as well as Holyrood Palace, Scottish Parliament or hike to Arthur's seat. Very comfortable, updated and clean 2 bdrms apartment, well appointed, instructions for access/use the apartment and guides to Edinburgh were perfect ... really we were lucky to find this available, after a long and tiring trip to the Highlands it was exactly what we were looking for. A quaint historic little park/gardens right next to the house was very relaxing. Very good communications with the hosts too!
Great Apartment! Just recently renovated and it's beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. It's in a great location at the end of the Royal Mile near the Holyrood Palace. Owners reply expediently and give detailed information with this rental. One of the best places we've rented in a while! Loved it!
