The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and communication with the host was frequent and clear. The kitchen had a stove and microwave but no toaster, frying pan, or spatula to turn foods. There was one bathroom per floor and all were absolutely disgusting and filthy. The showers were full of mold. On the upside, the bedrooms and bedding were cleaner. All Europe has many stairs so you should not be surprised just be prepared. Was walking distance to many places and it was lovely. I would recommend a stay at this house. It is well situated within Edinburgh. It was clean, however it is very tired looking and in need of a makeover. We found ants in the kitchen, and when we contacted the owner, she was aware of this problem.
