Each of the rooms had a theme based on a different city which was very quaint. Only issue was some wear to the labels on the lights- meant it took me forever to try to figure out how to turn off the lights because all the labels had been rubbed off. Staff was wonderful though!

Great central location. Easily walkable to a lot of restaurants and bars, as well as the main train station. Nice hotel bar, too. Great stay.

Very warm and welcoming, the hotel is in a great position for all of the bars and restaurants whilst still being quiet enough to rest. We were greeted by Tatiana, on both arrival and departure, who was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. A real credit to the hotel so please pass on our sincere thanks.

Style of property very nice. Friendliness and efficiency of staff excellent. Minor details were the shower door jammed as hinge had dropped and decor was a bit tired. Lighting was unusual and did not function properly. Main downside was the noise late at night and into early hours from nightclub and street. Probably be best to avoid Friday and Saturday stays. We would be happy to revisit Sunday through to Thursday!

Valentine's all nighter
Wonderful location. Very nice hotel, and brilliant cocktail bar. Room also very nice, if a bit aged e.g light buttons all gone so needed to use nails to poke toilet light on/off. Stay was perfect, right up until 11pm when we discovered we were directly over a night club queue/smoking area which was lively and kept me awake up until 3.30am. Ruined our anniversary after starting so well. Don't understand how this feedback hasn't been given before so a simple fix with better windows could fix it. Receptionist said this was sometimes a problem and brushed it off which peeved me.

The attitude of the receptionist is enough to. It want to stay at this hotel again. She is not customer friendly and doesn’t give the guest the best impressions of the hotel both at check in and check out

First time at this hotel and loved it. It is in a perfect location, central to everything for walking. The rooms are darling, each designed on a location in Europe. The bed was comfortable, staff was lovely. Will definitely be our hotel for when we stop again in Edinburgh.

Arrived early and got to check in early as the room was empty. We stayed in the Cairo room and it was excellent, one of the best rooms I have stayed in and furnishings/bathroom looked brand new. Will definitely be back and request the same room again.

Pre-Christmas Break
Le Monde Hotel is a grand find. Great hotel in a great location, absolutely fabulous decor and facilities. We stayed in the Casablanca Suite and wow. Amazing decor, layout, room sizes and facilities. You could truly happily have a night in and enjoy it, everything you need and very comfortable. Hotel very well placed to enjoy everything Edinburgh has to offer and very convenient, no more than ten minutes to anywhere. Sole negative was noise on the Saturday night from people utilising the nightclub as the Casablanca suite sides that side of the Hotel. Any of the suites away from the alley from George to Rose Street would be fine - we will return mind, great Hotel and we've stayed in loads and loads of places in Edinburgh.

Lovely stay
Had a lovely stay, staff we’re very accommodating and room was cosy and clean. The only downside was we didn’t have a key to get into our room due to the system being broken.

Beautiful hotel, great location
Unfortunately we had to leave a day early, but we LOVED staying at Le Monde! All of the staff is helpful and welcoming. Central in New Town, a bit further from the biggest tourist areas (which we preferred) but still easy to get to wherever you need to go.

Great hotel
The hotel is centrally located, a ten minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley (the main train station). I stayed in a junior suite and found the room well-presented and comfortable. There is some noise from the hotel and streets around it, but it wasn't ridiculous. Breakfast is very good, and excellent value. Service was first class and the staff were universally great. It's a boutique hotel, with only eighteen rooms, and it is a good place for a trip, though do keep in mind there was some noise on the second floor (where the junior suites are).

Lovely hotel with quirky decor. Friendly check in and helpful staff. Good sized room and bathroom. Good location, easy walking distance around the city. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Overnight stay
Excellent hotel very friendly staff room (Cairo suite) was amazing and decided to have breakfast which was a good choice as it was delicious. All in all would not hesitate in coming back and trying another themed suite.

We enjoyed the themed rooms at this hotel and staff was friendly, but like most hotels in Ireland/Scotland, no parking was available and it was a 15 minute walk to the car. their website listed two parking lots, but neither were available.
