We loved our stay in Eastport! The cottage was convenient, cute, and just what we were hoping for! Thank you!

It’s difficult to write a review for someone’s home after a stay as it could be seen that the writer of the review is a just a chronic complainer. But there were so many findings that truly gave me, and my entire family, the heebie jeebies: One mattress smelled of urine so badly that my daughter felt she had no choice other than to spray it with perfume to hide the smell, the floors which felt so old and dirty that we couldn’t bear to walk barefoot, the coffee maker had not been cleaned and was thick with residue from many previous uses without proper and thorough cleaning, there were dead flies on my other daughter’s bed, of which she decided she couldn’t sleep upon, the sheets were cheap and pilly, the coffee mugs were stained and dirty, the bathroom and upstairs had lingering smells of cigarettes which were hard to bear. Everything was tidy, but felt dirty in part because of the age of the house and the items to fill the home were of low quality (the sheets, towels, curtains, dishes) .The best part was the amazing view and the lovely green Adirondack chairs which added to the enjoyment of the quiet. The ease of getting to Eastport was nice as well.
Take time to explore the hidden gems and quirks at Rossport farm! The trails are a joy to walk. Ross was a wonderful and available host. He gave us the grand tour in his golf cart. The kayaking was stellar. Enjoyed fires every night. Spend time looking around the Big Red Barn! So much to see. The cottage is old, albiet works well for accommodations. We walked to town each day. Highly recommend the whale watch tour. Beware that short staffing currently has most restaurants closed until Wednesdays and the ferry to Lubec ONLY runs the weekend. Hoked the Bold Coast trail and Quoddy Lighthouse
trails. Would absolutely stay again!
The scenery is beautiful, Ross’s farm is the absolute perfect spot. We had the best view any direction we looked. We got rode around the farm and shown where everything was located, which was SO nice. Quiet area and everyone we met was so friendly. Overall extremely pleased with our stay, made for a great first trip to Maine. Not far from grocery stores and restaurants either!
We had a very enjoyable stay in this homey place. It was roomy and quaint! The gourmet coffee was an extra touch. Thank you to Ross for spending time showing us the area and being such a good host!
