"We visited in the off-season but were very pleased with the appearance and convenience of the property. Room was clean and had a lot of room. We booked a water view room with a balcony and 2 beds. We were very pleased with the size of the room and the bathroom. The indoor hot tub was nice too. We have been to Chincoteague many times and this was our first time staying at this hotel. We will most definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended."

"We loved the ponies on site. It was fun to feed them. The staff was helpful and wonderful. The coffee and pastries were a sweet touch. The coffee/tea bar was awesome. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the patio. The gift shop was a delight! Better than any downtown. The Misty items were not found anyplace else. We highly recommend this delightful find!"

"I had a wonderful stay at the Anchor Inn in mid-October. I happily used the microwave and mini fridge. My room was the furthest one up closest the docks and water and it was lovely to have my private patio to relax even when the weather wasn't cooperating. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. And even with the winds howling and it being chilly outside, my room felt secure and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the downtown area. You can walk or rent a bike. It is also very close to Assateague Island National Seashore. I went there twice during my stay and had some excellent hikes and saw amazing wildlife. So remember to bring your National Park pass if you have one! The staff at the front desk were very helpful with any questions I had. I had one small issue upon arrival and that was there were some ants crawling around on bathroom sink. That didn't freak me out because the season has been winding down and I'm sure that happens. The staff responded quickly and took care of the issue. One other thing and maybe it was just me, is I wanted to just cast to the TV to watch some stuff I normally watch and I couldn't see a way to do it. I didn't ask. But it was fine. I didn't really have a need to watch much anyway. I highly recommend booking here. It was a delightful stay."
