"A beautiful, historic hotel smack-dab in the middle of Salem, walkable to shops, dining, ghost tours, Witch Museum(s), and what-have-you. Very easy, free parking directly adjacent. Excellent breakfast, professional desk staff. People that complain about the shower and toilet/basin being situated in separate, small rooms likely haven't traveled in Europe. We had no problem with this, and it's fine with me if the shower doesn't steam up the mirror you need to shave in front of. "

"Very quiet in our room. Didn't hear noise from hallway, next door, etc. We had a street view room and even that wasn't too bad. Take note of the extra hotel fee per day of $40. They do give you free drink tickets for use at the bar, use of a bike and/or polaroid camera with film, free munchies and waters in the room (can get refilled too). Overall very happy with our experience."

"Staff could have been a little more hospitable.Some light bulbs were out in the room and needed to be replaced. Drains were noisy and wall are thin could hear neighbors yelling. Air conditioner made lots of noise."
