"I’ve stayed here before so know the hotel pretty well. The pool was closed for maintenance, which I can’t fault them or the site for, and even though it was one of the main reasons for picking this hotel it didn’t make much difference to our trip. The hotel still has the old name on the sign, which threw me for a moment, but the picture is the same. The rooms need a little bit of work but for what we needed it was good."

"The sweet little cabin had everything we could have asked for! The large back porch was definitely our favorite! We ate our dinners out there, sat and watched the silly squirrels chase each other, and were under cover when it was raining. All that and the peaceful babbling brook added to our stay. We also liked the location. We did some hiking as well as a tour all within a short drive. We don't know when we will make it back to that area. Nicely stocked kitchen with coffee, spices, etc. Combo washer/dryer is a little small for the number of people it sleeps but they work fine and there were laundry supplies provided. "The staff was very friendly from check-in to check-out. We had a dog with us and they were helpful in showing us best places to take the dog out. Was nice to have the choice of an inner room or an outer room (which is not usually an option!). AC worked well, and the room didn’t smell musty. Our one complaint was that the walls and corners were dirty/dusty, as well as the wood furniture in the room. The bed and bathroom were clean, but seemed like everything else was a very quick clean. Overall our stay went well but could’ve used a little more TLC on the room."
