Clean spacious room, check-in and check out were done without meeting the host, but no issues. They were clear with instructions and the property was in a very nice location to walk to all the touristy areas

The apartment was very nice with a fantastic porch / balcony for sitting outside and enjoying both the sun and shade. The only issue I had was with the TV. there was no where to sit comfortable to watch the TV from the living room or the bed.

Parking is optional and an additional cost and must be requested immediately from the property management after reservation. The location is strategically located inside the city. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis as these are fully functional studios with complete kitchen and tools and not a hotel.

Surprisingly nice modern studio in a older building. Comfortable bed nice bathroom and all the amenities. We were both surprised and happy. Staff was extremely accommodating.

Centrally located spacious apartment
Functional and spacious place in the city centre of Ghent. The host is an excellent communicator and easily accessible. Very clean, plenty of amenities and great views.

We liked: Great location, close to the tourist centre of Ghent, & a modern, spacious apartment. Also offering the option of some paid private car parking was invaluable as parking is not so easy in Ghent. We didn't like: We had the worst nights sleep in all of our three week holiday travelling around Europe. The bedrooms were unbearably hot & airless even with the windows vented. No fans or air-conditioning were available, & when we opened the windows wide we were inundated with mosquitos which had a great feed on us. So not only did we awake tired, but covered in bites!

The hardest part was finding the place. The street signage is very small. After that, however, everything was fantastic. The rooms are very spacious, well-appointed, modern and clean, and the property's location is close to a lot of things you'll want to walk to. The hostess is gracious and aims to please.

Perfectly central
Perfectly central - everything was 2- 10 minutes walk away. Can cook if you want to, and everything necessary was provided. Great option to use as home base for exploring.

Place2stay in Ghent is a lovely, clean, modern suite of rooms and apartments. The hosts are friendly and communicative. The location is excellent. The stairs are European, steep and narrow, but this only adds to the charm; pack lightly, as I had a really heavy case and negotiation the stairs was interesting! But this is a really excellent accomodation and I recommend it without hesitation.

Thanks for your feedback! Indeed all space is used in the historical city center: explains the narrow stairs, (no elevator)which is sometimes a challange for few, very heavy and broad lugguage. I want to make clear, that the stairs are safe (concrete with tiles and wall and handrail) and easy to walk.

Great apartments in Ghent.
Lovely apartment with a good Central location in Ghent from where you can walk to most places. Clean & modern, with plenty of kitchen equipment if you want to cook you own meals to eat on the large roof terrace, if you're in the top floor apartment! But be aware that there is no lift, so if stairs are a problem, make sure that there is an apartment available on a lower floor. Very nice & helpful owner.

Spacious living room & kitchen. Not well equipped for short stay- ie no paper towels, Kleenex, hand soap. Not clear how to use appliances. Good location. Staff pleasant but not on site. Ghent small but charming.

A place to stay in Ghent- American Family
Spacious, clean apartment. Perfect spot for exploring downtown Ghent! We could not have asked for an easier space as a family of 5. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Apartment had all the amenities we needed and owners even helped us with stowing luggage and calling a cab to take us to the train station. Highly recommend!

Lovely property in great location. Top floor apartment with terrace was perfect for a hot evening after a days sight seeing. Owner was very helpful and even rang me when I left my charger behind as she knew I was still in the area.

We had such a wonderful stay. The location is perfect though there is some outside noise at night it didn’t bother us too much. The penthouse is beautiful and we are already planing to return. When checking out you must pay in cash so make sure to plan accordingly

Good option for 1-2 nights. Is not located right in the middle but is a short walk from the main sightseeings. The room has a kitchen in case you want to cook something and microwave.

Close to centre of Ghent
Large, comfortable, clean and well-maintained self-catering flat. A few minutes walk from centre and close to restaurants and shopping. We had two large double bedrooms and a large lounge/kitchen with full cooking faciltiies, and two toilets plus a good-sized bathroom with show also. Parking in Ghent is expensive and limited on the street but there is an underground car park very close and (for Ghent) reasonably priced. Only minor issues was that there is no lift and so accommodation above ground floor may be difficult for handicapped or otherwise immobile visitors.

Absolutely perfect place to stay for a trip to Ghent! Great accommodation for the quality, price and location. It's not like a hotel with a front desk or anything, but more like an apartment. You pay cash to the owner who is there every day tending to the apartments. She was very friendly, flexible, and helpful. I highly recommend Place2Stay!

Location is great. Studio appartment was an adequate size, bright, clean and attractively furnished/decorated in a simple modern style. There is no staff on the premises and no housekeeping. Our appartment was on the street side - there was quite a bit of street noise, more during the day than at night. The only real negative to our stay was on the electronic communication front. The WIFI was sometimes okay, sometimes not - a provider problem? Again a provider problem? We had TV service when we checked in but none the next. We called the property manager who had it fixed remotely the day after. It worked for the rest of that day, but was gone again the day after.

This is a decent place and I have been there before. There may not be anyone there when you check in. They open the door remotely and your room is open. There is some noise at street level and sometimes from other guests. Only downside is there is no proper chair and table. Just stools and a bar. The sofa is nice but not much use if you want to work. There is a risk of outsiders getting into the building. So watch your stuff.

convenient location
Studio flat in a great location - quiet but within easy walking distance from city centre attractions. Dampoort railway station an easy 15 min walk (trains to Gent-St Peter leave roughly every 20 mins for connection to Brussels). The owner wasn't there when we arrived but was able to buzz us into the building via intercom, and our room had been left unlocked for us, so gaining access was all pretty straightforward. It was also handy to be able to leave luggage for a couple of hours after checking out.

This is a renovated building with well-equipped apartments. In general this is a good place. Almost no traffic noise but there was noise inside the building from some kind of central heating or other equipment. The cleaner did not come into my apartment while I was there. I met the owner at the end of my stay. I did not see any staff at all until the moment I left.
