Wonderful! The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel is clean, the rooms are lovely, the view spectacular. From Yacinta at the front desk, to Agustino, Kelvin and Alfred in the bar and restaurant, to Chef Ali and the delicious food, every one really cared for us and wanted to make sure we were having a great time. Even the groundsmen and the housekeepers had a lovely smile and ask about your day, honestly I can't speak highly enough. A great experience, wish we didnt have to leave!

We visited The Island at Pongwe as the final stop on our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar and it was the perfect way to conclude an incredible trip. Loved everything about this Hotel. Staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a beach front double room which was absolutely beautiful. Tours to Stonetown and Spice Tour ( and others) can be booked from Hotel. Meals were amazing. Looked forward to the evening visit around 6pm of the Bush Babies and fed them bananas. The green flag idea was wonderful - as were the cocktails!

Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf.

The staff were extremely kind and professional amongst the best I’ve seen in Tanzania. Small point - no TVs anywhere

This was a few days away after doing some fairly demanding charity work in the Maasai Mara. The hotel was recommended by some friends and it did not disappoint. We arrived late but the Assistant Manager was there to greet us and there was a light meal in our room. I stayed here in Jan 2026 and it was the most beautiful stay. From the moment I entered this property to the moment I left, everything was just wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in. Clean, stylish, spacious and the service here was always good.

Very nice family holiday. All family enjoyed it! Spacious and clean 3 bedroom flat with full kitchen and large balcony. Would love to come back! Only one downside- could not buy dishwasher tablets anywhere in Paje😄

Small and classy property where you are a name not a number. Staff went out of their way to please and hotel prices for food and drink excellent. I travelled with two teenagers and location on a great beach with a water sports centre on site could not have been better

Everything to be honest. All the staff were smiley and courteous, what ever their role they couldn't do enough to help. The aspect of the property was amazing and having breakfast served personally on your terrace outside your room was a great touch. The mattress was very comfy and the bathrooms were large. If in the area again I would stay again, 100%.

Incredible staff nothing was too much to ensure my stay was amazing. The room was fantastic but would have liked not to have ask for the fridge or other listed things that weren’t in the room.! Main issue would be the lack of transport for solo travellers, the opportunity is there but not explored as we would love to book trips but are excluded The location may not be suitable for many but for my stay it was perfect
