I stayed here in Jan 2026 and it was the most beautiful stay. From the moment I entered this property to the moment I left, everything was just wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in. Clean, stylish, spacious and the service here was always good.

Amazing resort, perfect for relaxing and the friendliest staff with the F&B team going above and beyond. We had a lovely private dinner on the beach on our last night which was a perfect end to an unbelievable stay. Highly recommended and will be back.

This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! We would stay again in a heart beat...

Excellent option, friendly and extremely helpful staff. The only observation is that I found there to be too many Indian food options for both lunch and dinner and I missed more grilled food.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Zanzibar and would highly recommend it, especially for families or anyone looking for a relaxed break rather than the more touristy feel of some of the other beaches and resorts. The hotel is beautifully located close to the beach, with each room being very spacious and easily accessible. The breakfast buffet is vast and really good with crepes and omelettes made to order! We especially enjoyed the Masai dancing and the Italian-themed seafood barbecue held...

If you are looking for a proper escape to a quiet paradise then look no further. The Marafiki bungalows are set in lush greenery with steps down to the sea. There is a lovely pool but no real sandy beach, though with swimming shoes, you can get down easily to swim when the tide is in. The restaurant is fantastic with a brilliant breakfast menu setting you up for the day and a wide variety of choices for the evening meal, all beautifully cooked. Incredibly family-friendly hotel. Fantastic service - from the head chef to the front house manager to the housekeepers, everyone working to make sure you got what you needed. As a family with 3 small children we very much appreciated this level of attention. Drawbacks were a mediocre kids club and lots of stairs up and down to the rooms. Food and entertainment were abundant and good, but not great. Was fully booked for most of the time we were there but didn't feel crowded.

Excellent service. Nice boutique feel. Not perfect but a real home from home. Staff and management are on hand and helpful. Recommended.

Really relaxing and calming hotel. Had everything you needed. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the areas were nice including the pool. Staff were amazing and a special shoutout to Judith who made my stay and birthday special. Will never forget her ❤️

We just came back from spending 10 days at the Ocean Paradise Resort. Really pleased overall. Our room was large and furnished in an African colonial style with a four poster bed. We really liked our room. Decent a/c and not a single mosquito bite in 10 days. They come and spray your room every night when you are at dinner. Beautiful, lush, green grounds and all the staff are lovely, at reception, in the bars, in the restaurant and the animations team (Hassan was fab) and guest relations...

I am not in the habit of writing personal messages for travel (business or pleasure) that I undertake but in this case I am willing to make an exception. I travelled with my family of 4 to Zanzibar staying at the Neptune resort from July 10 – 23 this year. We encountered some problems in the first few days, specifically, with the hot water provision and so I raised my concerns. We spoke to the General Manager about our concerns. His sense of duty and care towards guests was immediately apparent...

Great range of pools and bars. Good activities and helpful excursion desk on site. Staff were professional and helpful. Food delicious.

We stayed all-inclusive (good choice given the drinks prices) All the staff were really laid back – sometimes maybe a little too much but just go with it and chill – after all it’s what you are there for. We had a lovely garden room. They are semi’s. Ours was quiet but I guess it depends on who’s next door. The TV had lots of channels including 3 film channels in English. The shower leaked & the bathroom floor got quite wet. There was a fridge in the room & we were left a large bottle of water...

The room was cleaned daily, and the evening turndown service was a lovely touch. The staff were exceptional — every single member of the team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly exceeded expectations. The spa was the best ever.
