Lovely hotel in a superb position. We booked a deluxe room and were located on the 5th floor overlooking the river. We had a super size balcony. The room was just perfect and the bed and pillows made for a very relaxing and comfortable sleep. The bathroom was a fantastic size with all the amenities .. full size bath and walk-in shower .. double sinks etc and the towels were extra large. ALL the staff were so pleasant and cheerful and catered to our every need. Food and drinks were on the high...

excellent location comfortable hotel walking distance to centre

Great location, 20 minutes walk from train station. Quiet, although literally just yards from canals and shops. Good continental style breakfast.

Very comfortable stay. Very clean.

Great stay

The hotel is a gem. It is a former place to stay for naval officers and is in the 1960's style, with little points to the past all around the hotel. Our room was a 3rd floor corner room, it was a decent enough size, period decor, decent bathroom and a great view across the parks and city. A very nice modern hotel. There is a short (less than 5 minutes) bus ride into Groningen centre so is in a good location. There was plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly. We`d go back.

Very clean property and friendly, helpful receptionist

This remains a great hotel - well positioned and for those who enjoy industrial views, it is amazingly situated for the old port .. a bit like Bristol. People are always wary of hotel restaurants, but the bar and restaurant are serviced by an amazing crew and the quality of the food as always in Holland is exemplary .. thanks to the hard work of the often overlooked farmers!

Easy upgrade upon arrival. Great internal decoration. Modern and clean.
