Beautiful building, very nicely decorated and cosy interior. Excellent location to walk around the town and close to the station. Nice bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Large bathroom with an excellent shower. Great breakfast buffet and good coffee. I loved it !

The hotel is based in a beautiful villa on the moat just outside the city centre of Middelburg, a lovely location to spend a few days in. There is ample private parking, and our room, in the new extension, was tastefully decorated and well equipped. The spacious bathroom had a bath and shower. The continental breakfast buffet was excellent. We would have liked an outside light to enjoy the patio in the evening and the switch for the central light was in the corridor. These small gripes won't...

The hotel was located very close to the train and bus station in a nice quiet street. It was about a 10 minute walk to city centre. The hotel was nicely decorated, very very clean and a delight to stay in. Breakfast was good, dinner was on the small side but good. The only thing we didn’t like was the lighting- we found the room quite dark and it was difficult to read in. Very cool place, a hotel in the old building of the sailors' school. The building breathes nautical history, yet it has all the modern elements you'd expect from a hotel. We loved this place !

Excellent facilities, great friendly staff

I stayed here with a group of 8 friends on a cycling tour of The Netherlands. This was the favourite hotel of everyone. From the moment we arrived until the time of our departure we really felt like guests in someone's home. Nancy and her team did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome. The hotel was spotless, the service excellent, and the breakfast exceptional. I can high recommend.

Great location, 20 minutes walk from train station. Quiet, although literally just yards from canals and shops. Good continental style breakfast.

The Indes is an institution in the Hague, and whilst some hotels rely on the past, this hotel excels on so many levels. It's beautiful, but first and foremost the staff (ambassadors as they're known) are some of the best we've ever come across in the Netherlands, and that's going some as the Dutch are great at hospitality! From the door man to the waiting staff, everyone speaks to you and makes sure you have everything you need. The room was lovely and a good size, and the bathroom was big...
